Hey guys , we recieved an RFIE before 2 weeks regarding I-864 a and than my lawyer submitted its response last friday , it was delivered on monday and today our case status for i-485 has changed to Your Case Status: Request for Evidence Response Review

On March 27, 2019, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, . Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Once a timely response to the request for evidence is received by USCIS, we review the evidence or information you submitted. If you submitted the requested evidence, we continue with the adjudication of your application or petition in light of the new evidence.

does this mean they started working on my case again accepting the RFIE or they still under review process?

Just means they'll start working where they left off now they got your response to the RFE they issued.

Yeah it was!  We spent the whole weekend going through the paperwork multiple times.  Then Sunday I spent a good part of the day going through multiple posts on VJ and other immigration sites, plus USCIS to make sure we understood exactly what supporting evidence was needed for each form (ended up submitting THREE certified copies of her name change for 485/131/765 because you can never be too sure).  Now reading other posts about how much trouble people run into with the ineptitude of USCIS in regards to the AOS process (losing paperwork, RFE's for stuff that was included in the original packet, etc) my stress has already gone into overdrive and I feel like my head will explode.

Sigh.........I need to learn to calm down.......

Yes!! We were exactly the same. I kept going over and over the forms to triple check everything. So scared of getting an RFE. Our K1 process was pretty painlessly and straightforward so I’m thinking our bad luck will come now lol

Did my biometrics today. Arrived an hour early but I got my picture taken and fingerprints scanned almost right away and 2 hours later my case gets updated to review of fingerprint is completed. Relatively stress free process and we got the notification even before we reach home.

So does that mean they accepted my response or not?

We wouldn't know until the next time you hear from them. At the NBC they just make sure our file is complete (we have all the documents, everything is according to the guidelines, etc) before they hand it over to the field office to decide if they will accept our application.

I don't know. You can try. We were given a number and wasn't made to wait at our field office since there isn't anyone there. Just 1 person ahead of us. It really depends on the location.

My husband finally is recieving his Driver liscense from WA, he took the written test 5 weeks ago and the earliest driving test was today! ( Testing only done on Wednesdays nearest to our home) I was kinda of worried since his K 1 visa expired on 2/18/2019. After reading some posts -once K1 visa expired have to wait for EAD.  All paperwork was done when he took written test to include his picture. Today test was less  than 15 minutes, just  payed for his driving liscense fee and  provide a bill /proof of residency. I provide his Biometric appointment letter from USCIS since had his address and still had letter from Social Security since he got his number  in January.  * I forgot to update my married name on my Car registration , so I did that early before he took his Driving test.  Good thing I already added him to my car insurance as spouse. Lovely ...Check engine light turned on during his test ; just our luck!  Have to change O2 sensor now.

Does anyone know how long Biometric take in general? My husband last ACS in Mexico was about 15 minutes . Wondering if the same or longer process in states.

I sent my package on 3/11, delivered 3/12 and I have not received a text either. I called yesterday and was told that it can take up to 30 days because once it is received, it has to get sent other places too. We just have to be patient. You are not alone.
