3 days out from the Interview (We were Feb 28th Filers so I'm posting here because close enough) Nervous as hell. I've been reading absolute horror stories from the Philly field office and I'm scared to death that we're going to get someone crotchety. I have a 60 page binder with all the documentation + proof (Lease, Spouse/Dependent on Health Insurance (Medical, RX, Dental, Vision), Beneficiary on Life Insurance, Beneficiary on 403B (Like a 401k for non profits), Joint name on Renter's Insurance, Authorized user on a credit card, pics with family and proof of past and upcoming vacations via itineraries).

The big thing I'm afraid of is that we did a Self Uniting/Quaker marraige, which basically means we went into a court room in jeans, signed a form, brought the form to my mom and my aunt, had them sign the form while we stated our legal intent to marry then brought the form back and had it certified. No ceremony, no pictures. We did include an invoice for a venue for the ceremony we plan to have in 2020 which is the soonest we can reasonably expect all of our relatives from around the world to get together in one place...

Am I worrying for no reason?

AOS only cares that the marriage is legal. So long as a Self Uniting/Quaker marriage is a legal binding marriage, you're all good
Not everyone has the time/finances/ability to do a big wedding ceremony. That in of itself is not a requirement.

Your 60 page binder sounds sufficient to me

You’re fine! As long as you are legit don’t worry! We are Philly too next week!! Good luck. BTW how did you show proof of authorized user on credit card? I can’t find a way to “print” that info.

I just wanted to say Hi to everyone! It’s been a week that I work at Petco. Part time job with full time hours.

I still read the thread daily but no time to respond to anyone. I feel so bad for all of you who’s still waiting for their EAD. Congratulations to everyone who already had their successful interview!

My close friend and her husband is a November filer and they haven’t got their EAD but last night they got the “Interview was scheduled “ update in Los Angeles. Since Santa Ana has at least 13 months waiting, I’m not expecting our interview until next March or April.

Who still wait for their EAD, please try to stay strong! We all can survive this!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!! I keep praying for everyone!

March 12 filer here. Chicago. We had our interview yesterday and the officer said that we are approved but she is going to do a last minute check to make sure all of the documents are there. It was a relatively easy process. I am 100% sure that they have cameras to watch the couples interact in the lobby while they wait to be interviewed. I brought my 6yo son to the interview with us because I knew that there was no better proof then showing the relationship between him and his step-father. All went well.

I am anxiously waiting for the status to change on the USCIS site just so I can breathe. The thing that no one has mentioned yet was a bit shocking for me - the binder the officer goes through showing all of the forms/ proof/ etc that was literally 6 inches thick! I told her - OMG, is that all of the documentation I have been mailing in for the last 1.5 years and she said YEP! Wow.

Hey guys got done with the interview!! They asked us a few questions about how did we meet and other basic questions.. asked for some documents and we gave it to the officer!! We were smiling and joking all the time .. he said everything looks good for now.. if we need anything else from your side we will let you know and i need to show the file to the supervisor and let you know.. what do you think? How is it gonna take?

For green card interview, what does this mean: All documentation establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status.

What exactly are they looking for here?

I was a little bit confused about those documents, however found this thread and going to bring my NOA2 from i-129f, I-94, marriage certificate and obviously passport with k-1 visa and stamp :)

The form that comes in the mail after your I-129F is accepted. I-797 i think? Also your I-94 showing that you entered the country legally. That is what we took for this and we were fine.
