Hi I filed in March also and I just got notification that my EAD card is being mailed to me.

I am away this week. Can anyone tell

me if I need to be home to sign for the card delivery? USCIS gave me a usps tracking number but unsure if I need to be home. I thought it would just sit in the mailbox (locked in apt building) until my return but if I have to be there it’s gonna be a real pain and I don’t wanna miss it after this hellish waiting game of which I’m sure you can all relate. TIA

April filer here -- I was in your situation 2 weeks ago. Since 60 days has passed without any update, you can call them to inquire. I called on my 60th day from RFIE Response Received and a Tier 1 confirmed that I can open a service request because it had been 60 days. 9 days later my status updated to Case is Ready. Not sure if the call had anything to do with it but it's worth a try.

As for the birth certificate RFE, I believe something happened on their end because I sent the exact same copy of my BC as the initial submission and they accepted it. 🙄

Hi! Yes this is exactly what we did this morning, we called, really nice tier make an service request for us, 70 days since they received our response he told us 5-30 days to received an answer, about the RFE yes I think this too, a lot of people had this problem, well I hope everything will be good for you! Courage !

My wife is an early March EAD filer and we are still waiting for approvals for her I-131 and I-765 as well, so you are not alone in this grueling waiting game.   It is difficult seeing others who filed after to not only have received their EAD card, but their green card as well, while we sit and check the mailbox every day looking for only the EAD card.

To answer your question above, you will only need to attend an interview prior to receiving approval for your green card.  The EAD card (permission to travel and/or work) does not require an interview.   When you can expect to be scheduled for an interview is partly dependent on your "local" field office that your case will be assigned to.    As an example, my wife's I-485 (application for AOS/Green Card) changed to "Ready to be Scheduled" about a month ago.  But being we are assigned to the San Francisco office, we expect to wait another 12 to 18 months to be scheduled.

In the mean time, if you have not done so already, you can submit a case injury via phone or web for your I-131 and/or I-765.   It seems debatable if doing so will do any good, but it is about all you can do.   I did and am crossing my fingers we will get the approvals very soon.

If you are not already aware, you can check the "offical" processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/,  but take them for what they are worth, because they are, for many of us, meaningless.  😕

Thank you so much for your answer, help a lot! I wish you and your wife to received updates very soon! Courage courage courage ! We will make it !

Is this just a website issue we should not concern ourselves with or is something off?

Considering that our 129F still shows "Case Received" even though it was approved over 9 months ago, I would not worry too much about website inaccuracies.

Should I be concerned that ours doesn't even say Case has been Approved or anything? It just says Case Received even though we obviously received the SSN and card and the NOA2 saying to expect the card in the mail shortly.

The trackers are terribly inaccurate. One of them hasn't updated since May for me, despite since then having an RFE, ready to schedule for interview and 3 service requests that I can't actually see the status of.

11/12/2017 - Entered US on J1
10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics
02/28/2019 - USCIS mailed RFIE on I485
05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)
