Same day for me on both RFEs.

Ugh on day three here and no update on the site. This is brutal. I have no idea if they will cancel his AP application, let him back in the country, cancel the interview, cancel the EAD...ugh!!!

It just let me put in a case inquiry!! Thank goodness!!

For anyone who has and has gotten your EAD, how long did it take for them to process after submitting the case inquiry?

We submitted a case inquiry online weeks ago...nothing.

That's bizarre. For me, lawyer overnighted the response with FedEx, next day had the update. Not sure whether calling would help the situation? They'd probably just tell you to keep waiting up to 30 days though :(. Your interview was scheduled though, wasn't it? When is it? Perhaps also bring a copy of what you sent in the RFE to the interview too.

11/12/2017 - Entered US on J1
10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics
02/28/2019 - USCIS mailed RFIE on I485
05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)

Yes end of September. Will be bringing EVERYTHING! I’m just worried they won’t let him back in even though he has emergency AP (which obviously they don’t know about?!!) and that they will cancel the Interview thinking he’s left the country?? It’s all just too much stress. Every day feels like an eternity of waiting!

When he's supposed to come back? I'm wondering how come they don't know about the emergency AP because you got it on an Infopass. There should be something about that in their system. This whole process is sooooo messed up...

I agree!! I called and spoke to a tier one operator who said “yeah it’s odd but sometimes that happens.” Uh...that’s not at ALL comforting. Shouldn’t it be in some kind of computer system?!? He got the AP two weeks before he left!! He comes back on Tuesday.

I would send a photocopy of the emergency AP back to them.

Oh already did. Plus everything we used to apply for the emergency AP plus the admission paper for the info pass appointment. It was the response to the RFE. They received it on Wednesday according to UPS. No update yet...

After 162 days of waiting, my first real update (if you can call it that): I-485 Ready to be scheduled for interview! My local office is Seattle so I have another 9-25 month wait ahead for that but I'm hoping it means my EAD is on someone's desk right now!!

I am a concurrent I-130 + I-485 filer so that may be why it took so long.

Are you sure? My interview was ready to be scheduled on August 9th and our interview is on Sept 16. Chicago normally has a 11-30 month wait but something happened and we got scheduled! I don't think you will be waiting much longer!

My I-485 is Ready to be scheduled for an interview since April 8th. So yes, there is plenty of waiting time...

Ah you are right. I’m getting my status updates confused. We sat on RFIE Response received for about 2.5 months before our status changed to Interview Ready To Be Scheduled. Sorry for the confusion.

My interview was ALSO scheduled just a few days after I received the "ready to be scheduled for interview" status update. And I'm also in the Chicago Field office!

August 15th ready to be scheduled for an interview

August 22nd interview has been scheduled
