I hope everyone had a great long weekend! We went to Sedona, AZ for the weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Went home yesterday, wasn't too excited because of the 7hrs drive but guess what, we got an email saying our card is being produced!!! FINALLY!!

Question: How long does it take to have the card delivered? From Card produced to mailed your card?

Thanks!

My husband's EAD card took 4 days from card produced to being delivered in our mailbox.  It was sent out on the 3rd day. It was pretty quick! Then two days later, we got two NOAS concerning the EAD and the AP each.

Approximately one week. Once my card was being produced, I received the Approval Notice in the mail within a few days. My status online kept updating everyday from "waiting for USPS pickup", to actually receiving a tracking number for the card. Which then arrived 3 days after.

Unfortunately, some people on the forum did not get this lucky and had to wait much longer, or are STILL waiting for their EAD card to arrive. Not sure why. Hoping yours goes as smooth as mine did.

Congrats on the next step. :)

Mine got lost at the USPS, so for me took 12 days to get in hand after the new card was being produced.

Quick question: I filed end of March for both AOS and EAD. I had my AOS interview in August and received my Permanent Resident card a week later -  so far so good. The officer had also told me that with the Permanent Resident card, I am also permitted to work. I didn't realize though that I will not get an EAD card anymore. Both of my case nos. for AOS and EAD are now closed. Has anybody else received an EAD card after they already had their Permanent Resident Card? Just making sure that I got everything I need.

Thanks!

The EAD is a temporary thing that you only get whilst waiting for the green card. Once you have the GC, you don't need the EAD nor AP anymore.

10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics

05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)

Got an update that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview on August 29th, super unexpected!

Still no word on my EAD though and it's now been 6 weeks since my AP approval and still haven't received my AP in the mail. I submitted a service request for a missing document (AP) and was supposed to hear back by August 28th. Any idea what I can do now? Would calling them be any use?

Every time I feel like I'm making progress with USCIS there's always something else that goes wrong. 😡

I submitted a missing doc RFIE in June and then case went to "Ready to be scheduled for intevrview" on Juy 16th.  I took that as an indication that they had received the requested doc and are happy with it.

Hi folks—Great News our status updates to “New Card being produced” for the EAD. Any idea on how long it takes for it to arrive in the mail. I seen some folks get it sooner than others. Big relief that my wife can finally start working now after the long wait.

Hey everybody,

I received the notification yesterday that the EAD card was being prodcued. This would be great, but my interview for the AOS is tomorrow and they say we need to take the EAD/AP card in case we have one. Since the card is being produced but I don't have it yet, will this cause delays on my green card processing? Will they make me go back to deliver the EAD/AP card when it gets home and only then process my green card?

I also received a status update on all my cases that "name was updated", but I didn't request any name change. Does someone knows what this status update means?

Thanks!
