Hi guys!!

Our interview is two weeks and we have just gotten everything together!

Quick question for those who have had your interview, did your officer ask for original birth certificates, or is a copy okay?

Thank you in advance!

Mine asked if we brought any originals and asked to see it. Don't know why though, she didn't make a copy or keep it or anything

Yeah... Also, it's been more than 3 weeks my EAD got approved and I still have no SSN. Tomorrow will be the 3rd time for me to go to the SSA office, because twice they sent me away with the words "you have to wait at least 3 weeks to get your SSN through the EAD"...

Is this your first time applying for SSN?

Yes, through the I-765

I see. I hope you get your SSN soon. I got mine before marriage but will update it to my married name. I hope they won’t take long because I want to use my married name in all documents.

My interview is in September, but in the interview notice it says to bring the originals along with copies. I don't want to risk and going to bring my original birth certificate and it's copy.

The mail man better come tomorrow, according to USPS my EAD has been sat at my local post office since Sunday. But with the holiday and now the hurricane it hasn’t moved. Everything else is still open aside from the post office 🙃

Another day, another confusion..

Just received a letter in the mail from USCIS with a receipt notice for a brand new AP dated August 29th and the online case checker says this. Does anybody have any idea what's going on? 🤯

Huh?!? That’s super weird. Personally I would call as long as you have time to wait. Ask to speak to tier 2. You’ll probably get something in the mail in the next few days but who knows if it will be helpful!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend! We went to Sedona, AZ for the weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Went home yesterday, wasn't too excited because of the 7hrs drive but guess what, we got an email saying our card is being produced!!! FINALLY!!

Question: How long does it take to have the card delivered? From Card produced to mailed your card?
