My husband's EAD card is waiting for us in the mailbox, according to the tracking number. It will be nice to come home to after our labor day weekend vacation! Woohoo!

Got ours out of the mailbox!

For those who have their SSN under maiden name and want to change to married name;

after you got your combo EAD/AP card, did you able to update you SSN name?

I remember I tried to update mine and they said they cannot because my I-94 is expired.

My case was just updated to interview scheduled, no update on the EAD or AP yet

Anyone here from San Jose CA?

I just checked AOS processing time people uploading here in Visa Journey. It will take a year to schedule an interview. We used to live in SoCal and it's much faster back there. People filed AOS in March already been interviewed last July. I wish I didn't change address and just drive back there for the interview. (~END OF RANT)

Anyway, enjoy your Labor Day!

I'm just up the road in San Mateo county, so my field office is SF; they're taking 1.5 years to get the interview scheduled, but at least that means we won't have to bother with ROC in a couple of years (our anniversary is in January and I'm not expecting interview til feb or march at the earliest). Wish I had my EAD to make the wait more bearable though.

11/12/2017 - Entered US on J1
10/18/2018 - Filed AOS at NBC
12/11/2018 - Biometrics
02/28/2019 - USCIS mailed RFIE on I485
05/09/2019 - USCIS received RFIE response
06/11/2019 - USCIS mailed another RFIE on I485
06/19/2019 - USCIS received 2nd RFIE response
07/24/2019 - I485 ready to schedule for interview
01/22/2020 - I485 interview (in San Jose instead of San Francisco)

I am! I was just telling my husband an hour ago that if we had the option to do our interview in some place like Wyoming or something, we should jump at the chance and fly ourselves and our lawyer there. I am itching to go on vacation with him in Europe and it sucks we have to wait

Got an update that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview on August 29th, super unexpected!

Still no word on my EAD though and it's now been 6 weeks since my AP approval and still haven't received my AP in the mail. I submitted a service request for a missing document (AP) and was supposed to hear back by August 28th. Any idea what I can do now? Would calling them be any use?

Every time I feel like I'm making progress with USCIS there's always something else that goes wrong. 😡

My field office is Santa Ana. I can see that people uploading their interview and it takes at least 13 months. However, LA county people get their interview in less than 10 months 😢🤦‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Wait so that means instead of getting a 2 years conditional GC we’ll go straight to 10 year GC? I kind of repeating what you said but my point is, we don’t need to file another paperworks?

I know ☹️ My husband wants to book airplane ticket next year to Manila but I told him to hold it first because we don’t know if we’re going to have an interview by that time 😑

Yeah... Also, it's been more than 3 weeks my EAD got approved and I still have no SSN. Tomorrow will be the 3rd time for me to go to the SSA office, because twice they sent me away with the words "you have to wait at least 3 weeks to get your SSN through the EAD"...

I believe that is correct. If you've been married for more than 2 years when your green card is approved, you get the 10 year GC instead and won't have to spend (I think) $600-$700 on removal of conditions.

Yep, that's right. If you'll be 2 years old married by the interview, you'll automatically will be approved for the 10 year old card

Hi guys!!

Our interview is two weeks and we have just gotten everything together!

Quick question for those who have had your interview, did your officer ask for original birth certificates, or is a copy okay?

Thank you in advance!
