Oh boy... I just read what happened to you... Did your husband left already the US?

Yes and I am out of the country with him. Amazing that it takes 6 months for them to approve an EAD and AP but a day after he flew out they sent that letter for evidence that he had not left lol.

The letter says he has until end of November to reply. His interview is end of September. I’ll send the reply when I get back next week but I'm

hopeful it’s totally separate and the AP will not affect the AOS. The guy at USCIS who we spoke to said they sometimes don’t talk to each other so to just send in a copy of the emergency AP and it should be fine but who knows. He sounded about 10 years old and kept asking for our email again and again and then saying “oh wait, I already asked for that.” Ugh

Ugh... I'm sooooo annoyed by this process already... It's been 17 days since my EAD got approved, and still no SSN card. I went to the SSA office, I have called the SSA Headquaters, I have called the USCIS, and everyone told me to wait at least 3 weeks after my EAD got approved... This is ridiculous...

Weird order of events for the EAD card.

I got the new card being produced email a few days ago. Then last night another an email saying the application was approved.  Shouldn't that have been done before sending the card? Haha. Then this morning they mailed out the card. Yay!

I just got an email from uscis about my request to expedite. Told to wait to get a decision or for further action... Haven't we all waited enough??

I feel like I'm an old lady who is complaining about EVERYTHING 😂:D

In the other hand, I also feel like I'm right, because I see many people who got their SSN and EAD on the same day. Okay, I have my EAD but I can't get a job without an SSN duh!!!!

The processing time is back to March 19 again which is my receipt date. I already filed an online inquiry last August 21, when it was 2.5 - 5.0 processing days, which they said to expect a reply on September 11. Should I make another inquiry or just wait for September 11 before start doing anything again?

"Sorry we've taken so long but we're gonna take another month just cause we feel like it"

They didn't even answer my first service request (sent on July 31st), so I phoned them up on Wednesday. Tier 1 operator offered to send another (cause the first one was so successful...), so I spoke to a tier 2 instead, who also just sent another request! This time she said I'll hear within 1 week by email or 2 weeks by letter.

Our $1200 being put to good use there I see! What a joke.
