Once your EAD has been approved, you can actually log in to e-verify self check (https://www.e-verify.gov/mye-verify/self-check) using your USCIS account. You enter your passport number, social, and answer some identity verification questions. It then confirms against DHS records whether you will pass an employee's e-verify screening. Mine came back as authorized to work the next day after I was approved! 

 

Once you are employed, you can then actually lock your SSN to prevent anyone else from using your social to apply for jobs.

How are you guys getting your service requests processed so quickly? I passed the 60 days after RFE recently, and am 21~ days into waiting for the service request. Interestingly when my lawyer sent it, it said Aug 22nd for a response, but on the phone they said wait for Aug 30th. Might try phoning them tomorrow anyway cause whilst I'm happy for you March guys, it's ridiculous that I applied 5~ months earlier and I'm still having to wait.

Wow that is crazy and sorry for your ridiculously long wait! Definitely get on the phone to them ASAP and I’m sure you’ll see a change

What’s your field office? I’m in SoCal. Mine is Santa Ana. The minimum waiting time is 13 months here 😓

My minimum is 20.5 months 🤮😂

My card just arrived!! It was due Friday but randomly turned up today!!

The mailman didn’t come yet ugh 😓 mine is coming today. Why he is coming after 4 pm???? I have 30 minutes left. I’ll stand right behind him 😂

Haha do it! Our arrives at around 3pm est but goes into a lockbox for our apartment so had to wait for my MIL to get home with the key lol but I had no idea it was coming today! Tracker said Friday!

My card didn’t arrive however the tracking says it’s delivered. Even the mailman said he didn’t scan anything like that.

what kind of envelope in was it? My tracker says it’s a package.

That's strange! It won’t let me upload the photo as it’s too large I’ll try in PM but it’s a USPS envelope with priority mail marked on the front. Let me see if it will send in PM

So is it in a big like an A4 envelope? I’m very furious! I can’t calm down. The tracking # says it’s delivered and it’s NOT!

No won’t let me send in PM either boo. But it has a barcode (USPS tracking) on the letter which shows through the window on the envelope and it has a red stripe at the top and bottom of the envelope

Not sure maybe because it’s tracked and has to be scanned? Mine was in our postbox. Call USPS tomorrow
