Yep. Wait 30 days! I’m going to call on Thursday morning if there’s nothing by then and ask to speak to tier 2. By then we should be ten days outside normal processing time, which still I know is not a lot but when I called two weeks ago to ask about the emergency AP they told me they could not expedite his AP because the case was already assigned to someone. So why is this taking so long!!??

I suspect that the emergency AP somehow screwed everything up, but that’s okay because at least he will see his dad! So have to stay positive! Just want this all over so we can have a somewhat normal life (plus I lost my job 6 weeks ago so would be nice to have some income while I job search lol). Looks like it will probably be another six months until his green card interview anyway so getting the EAD now would be a load off.

 Thanks for letting me vent!

The whole thing is so frustrating and sometimes just feels like a painful game BUT we will all get there like we did with the K1. It’s hard to stay positive but it is coming and soon! Your plan sounds like a good idea and make sure you get some sorry of answer when you call. And like you said - your husband is able to see his dad which is the most important thing right now ♥️

We are just calling USCIS. That's the second time that we got kicked out / that somebody hang up after waiting around half an hour. Yesterday the same. 😡

I was told my recived date was March 22 and not 19th altho that's what it says on the receipt notice. Our notice date is March 22 so I guess they go by that.

I don’t  understand what date they consider correct, the date of received  or the date of the notice? Because my received date is March 22, and my notice day is April 11, I don’t want to wait another almost 3 weeks(

Holy #######. I just woke up past midnight and figured why not...I’ll do my hourly check. Nothing on the EAD or the AP as usual. Check the 485 and the interview was scheduled! Wasn’t expecting that for another 6 months at least! In total shock! I guess no EAD!?! And that means he cannot take the job offer he has as this will still take a few months to be completed, right? But at least there is SOMETHING!!! After almost 200 days at least it’s moving!

Congratulations! My interview was scheduled Apr 23, interview happened a month and a bit later and I had the green card in my hands on June 4. Then I went to the SS office to update my status. So I'd say 6-7ish weeks until he's good to work. :) hopefully it'll be a little sooner than that!

Wow thank you for that! So helpful. That will fly by. I’m sure he will get a whatever for the medical not being complete so that will delay it but it’s so close!! Honestly we are both just sitting here in such a state of shock and refreshing the screen again and again out of disbelief. Now I have to go back and read all the posts about what to prepare. I haven’t paid any attention to them because I thought it was so far off!

That's awesome! Had the same feeling myself when it happened to me, they usually schedule the interview a little over a month after the interview notice date, so you're getting close!

I still check my EAD/AP case status, just to see if it will say anything different or dissapear altogether haha 😁
