They told us it's the same inquiry -- over the phone or online. So it doesn't help to do it twice. Phone seems to get a faster response. I was so hoping to wake up to something today but nothing so far :(

We’ll get it soon! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

The customer service number won't let me put my 10 digit receipt number in, it tells me I didn't put enough numbers in. Is there a way to bypass that and get to a representative?? I'm going crazy here!!

Charlotte, NC filers - How long after your interview being scheduled was the actual interview? Also, what all are you planning on bringing other than a copy of the original package?

We received the notice that interview was scheduled on Aug 14th and received the letter today and the interview is for 1 month from today on September 19th in Charlotte! As for what to bring there i a list of what to bring on the letter they send you.  Hope that helps!!

Are you putting the letters in too? You should include them ie. MSC

For those that have already done their AOS interviews, (more so for the petitioner) did you have to bring a copy of your birth certificate or original? Or is the beneficiary the only one that needed to bring their birth certificate?

Thanks!

Just a nitpick, for AOS the immigrant spouse is the applicant (or primary applicant, if he or she has derivative applicants -- usually minor children); the US citizen spouse is the sponsor. Technically everything except the affidavit of support for AOS should be filled out by the immigrant spouse. The petitioner / beneficiary language was for the I-129F.

Yeah I realized on my 5th call. Still have to call back bc I don't have my alien registration number on hand. Trying to multi-task in the car!

Thanks!

My interviewer asked if we had brought his original birth certificate and if she could see it. Idk why since he wasn't born in the US and it wasn't even in English, but she did look it over. We brought absolutely everything just in case lol

Try to choose the option that says "I don't know my 10 digit receipt number" and it will take you to the representative, which is the Tier1. Then ask Tier1 to transfer you to Tier2.

Thanks! I'll call tomorrow!

Call right at 8am if you can. Press 1, 1, 2, 2. You don't even need to listen to the words. At 8am I almost never wait at all, although when we got transferred to a tier 2 it still took about 45 minutes on hold. Good luck!
