Called USCIS yesterday and they couldn't check the status of our case because I did an online inquiry before calling. The guy was super nice, he said to wait for their response. Hopefully we will hear something from them.

Hi! I was planning to do the same thing, online inquiry and then call them. Did they tell you why they could not check if you file online inquiry first?

We had the same thing happen. He said an inquiry was already done by us online so we had to just wait 30 days to hear back. We have the same dates it seems -- received date 3/15 for us, so they are now a week past that, and nothing...fingers crossed for this week! Guess we should have called before submitting the online inquiry as that seems to get a faster response.

10 days later my online inquiry the website sent an update about the “new card is being produced”. When I spoke a day later after my online inquiry with the Tier2 she said my injury date is March 11 not March 6. I asked her than why the system let me do the inquiry? She said it didn’t . I said yes it did because there is an update about my inquiry case is not assigned to anyone. She was keep arguing with me about March 11 which I don’t know where she got that date at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

How long did it take after you did the online inquiry until you found out you were approved? Just want this to be over already! VJ just sent me an updated date for AP and EAD and they moved it forward a week, so it's getting there

I sent the online inquiry on August 4th Sunday morning and I've got the New card is being produced update on the 13th midnight and the Case was approved on the 14th noon. And I've got the Card was mailed to me update on the 16th plus I've got the NOA about the case was approved yesterday, on the 17th

Received date is now March 21, I wonder if it's better to call first and then make an inquiry? I only have 7 days left of my current ead so I'm in a crunch to keep my job! 😭 The immigration lawyer I spoke to told me I'd be extended while I wait but turns out (as someone here pointed out) that it doesn't apply to me! 😩😩😩

CALL FIRST! We did online first and now they won't give any info over the phone because of online inquiry. Definitely call and try to speak to tier 2. Say it's an emergency and you will lose your job!

Thanks. So ten days for us would be this coming friday, which would be several weeks outside their stated processing time by that point. So let's get this going!

Your inquiry only took 10 days? My lawyer sent mine on July 31st and I'm still waiting for my EAD on 304 days now.

Yeah I know a woman here and she and her husband filed on November 16th. Her lawyer filed the inquiry on July 22nd for the EAD and still no reply for her.

I wish I know what’s going on there...

What! That’s crazy! I did mine on Wednesday and it changed to new card being produced the next day
