For those who expedited...my husband has called twice now about expediting his AP (his father is terminally ill). Both times they said they would send him something within five days. Well last time he called was a week ago. The woman was great and helpful but a week later and he’s gotten nothing by phone, email, or mail (and yes he confirmed all three with her). I’m just not sure what else to do!!

On a side note, the case date for inquiry moved to March 10 today, which is a Sunday. How can they receive cases on a Sunday?? Ugh. We are the 15th so patiently waiting...

Damn... I got an email within 3 days and was told it would take up to 5. Call USCIS and tell them you want to speak to Tier 2 officer! Tier 2 officers start working at 8:30am. That’s what Tier 1 told me one time. Call them as soon as they start, choose 1-1-2-2 (don’t wait for the automated voice to give you the options), paste your AP number and once they pick up, insist to talk to Tier 2. They will probably call you back within a couple of hours (they do not re-direct you immediately because there’s always a big queue).

Thanks -- calling now. Said only 25 minute wait. Will insist on tier 2, although last time that didn't go well for me lol

I got through. They are no longer transferring to tier 2 today> They stopped at 1:42pm EST. He said to call back at 8am tomorrow morning -- not 8:30am. Get in the queue at 8am. Then I can speak to an officer. He was very, very nice. Said he would pray for us lol. But unfortunately our request for an expedite has not even been assigned to anyone and we've put in two requests over 3 weeks already. Sigh...

I'm so happy! Just got the email saying that an interview was scheduled! Now I just need to wait for the notice to arrive.

Of course because nothing can be perfect I just sent a request to change address two days ago and it wasn't confirmed yet, so I just hope the notice arrives at any of the two addresses.

When I was filling the request I even joked with my husband "wouldn't it be funny if they sent the interview notice during the week we are changing addresses?" We laughed because we were expecting to wait a few more months at least.

Something is broken when we get the green card before the EAD and AP that are supposed to be provisory documents while we wait.

I got the interview notice about a week after I got the email notification. They sent it to the old address but the USPS forwarded the mail to the new address and all was fine. USCIS also sent another notification a few days later for the new adress with a duplication of the interview notice in case I didnt get it last week. That was more than I expected from USCIS ahah

But the main thing is, the interview is in early September! I'm really excited to start job hunting in a few weeks.

Hi,I'm an April filer.I just wanted to inquire how long it takes after USCIS notifies you that they have received your RFIE to case scheduled for interview?Do they send you a paper notification that they have received the case? The wait is too long, just tired of waiting,waiting...Anyone out there with the an estimate time?

Thank You!

Yea same situation, i filled out the papers March 29, I received an RFE birth certificate June 27 , they received the response  June 2, since then no update, I don’t even know what going on after that, «  Scheduled for interview » is that for the Green card ?

I’m not sur, but I think the EAD/AP don’t need an interview

Yeah, that's for GC. EAD and AP don't need interview.

Hey guys! I’m planning to call USCIS tomorrow because tomorrow my case will be outside of normal progressing range. Does anyone know if the office opens at 8 AM eastern time or Central time ? Thanks!
