MARCH 2019 - AOS Filers

Hey, so they received our petition on Feb 26, 2019. My husband (from France) then went for his biometrics appointment in March. Since late March, we haven't heard anything and are anxiously waiting for his EAD to arrive. I tried to open up an inquiry on the USCIS website because this seems like outside of normal processing time to take so long for work authorization. I got a message saying inquiry could not be opened because it's within processing times. Anyone have any advice or maybe this torturous wait is happening for you too?

You are still in normal processing time for the EAD. The inqury date now is November 18, 2018. To get the EAD takes 6,5 months to 8,5 months now.

I'm sorry for your anxiety, most of us here in this thread are still waiting for the EAD almost for 5 months now...

Check out this link. Your husband belongs to the National Benefit Center if his case number starts with the MSC

Exactly. Many people get EAD for many different reasons. For AOS and K1 the EAD belongs to the National Benefit Center for sure. For other visas they might belong Vermont, California etc with totally different letters and with totally differnet processing time.

Just bring the ones you have from the last 3 years. The most important thing is that the minimum income is being met right now. My husband only presented the tax return for 2018 as he was unemployed before, and current pay stubs, and we were approved no issues

How did you know about that? And do they really work according to the months?

Someone put in their date here.
Just go to immigration timelines and select Charlotte as the local field office + adjusting from K1 visa.

It seems like everyone is asked for their health insurance at the interview.

I don't have my EAD yet, therefore no SSN so I couldn't get health insurance. Will this be an issue at all?
