Congratulations to the Pittsburgh filers who already got their interview scheduled. My case is still stuck on case received arrgghh! Spoke with Tier 2 officer today and he told me he can see that my case is actively been worked on and I will hear from them soon. The whole process is tiring.

Hello,

Just wanted to report in our AOS: i-485 details:

Date Filed : 2019-03-22
NOA Date : 2019-03-29
RFE(s) : 2019-06-13
Bio. Appt. : 2019-04-24

July 9, 2019: "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview".

We haven't received an appointment yet. I've read around it takes somewhere between 2-8 weeks, hopefully it comes soon.

We also received an RFE regarding a missing birth certificate, even though we had sent each form its own birth certificate copy. If anyone else has received an RFE for a missing birth certificate, just send another copy. Save yourself the headache of calling the UCSIC they just told us to send another one..¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure what to think of this "missing birth certificate" phenomenon, as it's happen to a surprising amount of people.

Stay strong everyone :P

Edit: Spelling

So on the never ending quest to get this AP for my husband, he called last week and they said they would send him a form in 5 days. No form ever came. He called USCIS again today and this time (after waiting an hour on hold...ugh) the operator told him that you cannot expedite AP for a sick father. Lovely. She did say she can get him an info pass appointment and he can apply for an emergency travel document to go see his dad. They said they would call him. His phone never rang. Then he got an email that they tried to call and he should call back again. So back on the phone for another hour...this is so horrible. Good thing he has nothing else to do lol

And now when he calls back they say they are experiencing too high volume and won't take any more calls. And then they just HANG UP!!! DONE WITH USCIS!

Congratulations!! That was fast. Did you expedite it?

It would be great if you filled out your timeline with the approval date so that VJ has more data to predict future approvals.

No I did not expedite it. :) yes I'll update it today.

If you did your biometrics already at you've been waiting that long I think you should give them a call. :)

Interview at Pittsburgh Office done today! Approved on the spot. But officer called after we left the building saying he can’t issue green card until my bday year is corrected on the background check. He said it will take a couple of months to receive it in mail. Officer is very nice!

They already updated my DOB :)

Who did you call and what did you say? I’m at 119 days but we’ve called to ask about expediting and they just say we don’t qualify. What exactly did you do and who did you talk to!? We are desperate to get the AP in the next six weeks ugh. It seems impossible. We cannot even get them to answer today!!

Has anyone successfully called and spoke to an operator at USCIS today!?! This is so frustrating.

It's been 132 days since our AOS NOA, and 100 days since the Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

My friend filed at the end of January and her field office is Downtown LA, mine is Santa Ana. She got her EAD at the middle of April, and had the Ready to be scheduled for an interview update only for 3 weeks. She will have her interview at the beginning of August...

This whole process is killing me and definitely doesn't help my anxiety...

At least give me the EAD :(

I am getting anxiety attacks just because i have to go see my grand mom who is going through some operations on her body right now and i cant stop thinking about it . I dont know what to do 😭

Hi March filers! Hope all is well for you guys :) I'm sure this has been asked ad nauseum already, but I'm doing a final look at our documentation to prove our bonafide relationship for our interview on Thursday. I was feeling good about it, but now that it's getting closer, I'm starting to worry we don't have a compelling case. We have:
- Lease agreement with our names on it
- Lease addendum for the puppy we adopted (& papers from the vet)
- Joint health insurance

- Joint checking account

- My credit card account with him as an authorized user

- Wedding certificate
- Weekend trips together (train tickets, hotel bookings, concert tickets)
- Plenty of photos together, text messages, etc.
- Also it's a stretch, but I was actually on Say Yes to the Dress and we'll be planning a *proper* wedding with that dress once we get the GC. Would I be able to use that?

Can you guys think of anything else to include or am I worrying over nothing lol?

I’m so grateful to God! My status just changed to ready to be scheduled for interview after 132 days of filing, this is the first update since NOA. That Tier 2 officer I spoke with today was right when he told me he could see on his computer that an officer is actively working on my case.

I was really nervous  but it was pretty straight forward questions like each others birthdays and stuff like that and anything that has both our names on it, and the officer was really nice so that made me relax near enough straight away.
