Case is at NBC, but petitioner is from California. So I believe Local Field office means California here..

CA is a big state.

Hi everyone, I’m applying from Maine (Portland my local office) I checked the app today and found this update!

E79C4078-D259-4DDD-9E03-FC1956531A3C.thumb.jpeg.f3a7572fe9cd4dd3e92c8df14fbf5e39.jpeg

My AP still says fingerprints were complete and my EAD says my case was received. Has anybody else had a similar thing happen? Does anyone have any sort of idea as to what I can expect with any progress? 😊

Cool, thankyou for the response. So would you imagine that I may get a GC interview before getting my EAD and AP? Not many filers in Maine I don’t think, I do believe there were 5 on VJ.

No way to know for sure. Some people get their interview scheduled a few days or weeks after that status change, some wait months. USCIS website indicates that the Portland office has an 11-24 months processing time. Keep in mind that VJ stats are a very small portion of all applicants and hence not that reliable. EAD/AP processing times are 6.5-8.5 months so it seems more likely that you'd get your EAD first.

That being said Portland is one of the offices affected by a recent USCIS policy to transfer cases to other local field offices in an attempt to make uneven processing times more equal. So you might get it sooner than the posted processing time but I'd be prepared to wait at least that long

You must have a reason and be willing to prove it

Just saw you got your EAD! Congrats!!!

We are at 124 days since NOA1 today. I got nothing since April 8 Ready to be scheduled update. My field office waiting time for the interview is at least 12,5 months. I wish USCIS transfer my case to San Bernardio because we are planning to move to Arizona by December and I don't want wait mooooooore :(

Thank you!! I requested for it to be expedited so that's why it got approved so "quickly" but even so, it still took over 2 months...

I really really hope you get an update soon. Would your future Arizona LFO have a faster processing time? maybe having to move will be a blessing in disguise :)

wow that's crazy.. that's about as bad as NYC and I would've thought Phoenix would be less busy than NY. Hopefully with the new USCIS policy of transferring cases to other field offices, we'll start seeing some movement in our cases.

I really do wonder though how far away they'd be transferring the cases. In VA for example, all of the closest LFO's have long wait times and they're also all affected by this new policy so I wonder how that will play out. The closest state that is not affected is NC I think. That being said, I'd be willing to fly to Alaska if it made things faster lol

If 12,5 months are "long" for USCIS, my husband and I are willing to fly anywhere all over the country, even to Hawaii :D

NC is definitely not fast.  Charlotte people are sitting here twiddling their thumbs waiting as well.
