EAD and AP are processed at the National Benefits Center in Missouri (the MSC code). Your I-485 will be initially processed there and eventually transferred to your local field office which you can find by putting in your zip code here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

When your I-485 status changes to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" that's when they transfer to your field office. You will likely have your interview at this office. However, in the last month or so USCIS began implementing a policy whereas they are moving some cases to other nearby field offices in an effort to standardize uneven workloads between the offices. If your case is affected by this new policy then you won't know where you'll be interviewed until you get your interview notice. Interview notices are sent out usually 3-4 weeks prior to your interview.

Edit: I just checked and it does not look like the San Antonio office (assuming the information in your profile is accurate and this is your office) is affected by this new policy: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/texas-san-antonio-field-office. If it was, it would typically have a notice at the top indicating that, so you will likely be interviewed there :) good luck!

Wow, thank you so much for this information! You are a life saver! You said "When your I-485 status changes to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview""....

how can I tell my case is ready for interview? How can I check my case status without calling them? I tried to do it on the USCIS website but it didn't work. I'll try again, but any clues? Thank you so much!

you're welcome! Go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and click on the button that says Sign Up for an account. It'll ask for your basic information and your receipt numbers that you can get from your NOA1's. You will then be able to login and check the status of each form you filed

We expedited the AP. The whole process took 2.5 weeks and our evidence (for financial hardship) was payments on our vow ceremony predating the K1 submission. We didn’t mention EAD which is what makes me think both could go through.

hey fellow March peoples. I filed March 22nd. after seeing the EAD/AP dates blow out to October I filed and expedite due to financial loss.

I was prepared to wait patiently but after a 300 day wait for my K1 in 2017/2018 and now faced with a massive wait I expedited. Today my EAD was approved.

My greencard is going to be a long time we are Dallas and wait is up to 22 months and in the meantime I need a job and I want to go home for a visit.

anyways I didn't have a job offer you don't need one for expedite as long you can prove through bills ect  ( obviously its up to the officer looking at your case weather to approve or not) since arriving we have had over 5k in unexpected bills (major plumbing issues and hospital visit even with insurance). took 11 days to approve.  just wanted to write this post so others can see that is it possible. good luck to everyone still waiting.

congrets you'r EAD , you was filed the EAD and AP with i485  at same time ?

that good news me too i was filed 18 march but still nothing right now

Any updates from Charlotte field office? I did check with a filer from January and she told me they did not receive the interview yet 🥺

No, unfortunately not.
I wouldn't expect/ hope for an interview until  November. The USCIS website states that the minimum waiting time is 7.5 months at the moment in CLT.
People who also did the K1/ AOS route here that I know  told me that it took 8 months for them to get an interview.
