Wait for another week or you can call their 800 number.

The problem is that when you send out the application you cant't do anything even if you call you don't have a receipt number to refer to and you can Just call and say I send an application to chicago find it. People send more than a million applications a year.

I received the biometrics letter and the RFEI today .. The RFEI is regarding the joint sponsor , i think the joint sponsor on the size of the house hold does not exceed the 125% of the poverty line .. so what should i do next and can anyone here look into the documents and let me know what exactly are they asking for? We are stressing about it

Just to make sure I understand what you meant, are you saying the RFIE is asking you to add a joint sponsor? Or that you already sent in your main sponsor and a joint sponsor, and your joint sponsor got rejected?

Hi all,

I got my NOA’s in mail yesterday.

The received date and the notice date are different. For NOA we use received date right?

Received date is the one that is used in the processing timeline. NOA date is the date they print and mail you the nnotice. When looking at dates, you want to use priority or received date printed on your NOA.

packet sent 03/15/2019

NOA 1 : loading

hopefully i am a march filerr!!

You would be. I read on the USCIS website on how they process in the lockbox. Apparently they date every packet they received on the day they open it then proceed to checking if everything is signed, checks are at the right amount, cashing the checks, and sending out NOAs before filing them and sending them off to whichever service center.

Make sure you read the RFE carefully. If it's saying that the evidence you submitted for your joint sponsor is insufficient, make sure you send what they're asking for. But if they're definitively saying that you need another joint sponsor, then make sure to do that.

They're unlikely to issue another RFE if you get the first one wrong, so make sure you send them exactly what they're asking for in that letter.

Don't worry,  text messaging is really inconsistent. Some never gets the text messages at all, some got it late. If you have your receipt from USPS or whichever delivery you use try to email them 30 days from when you have it delivered. Worst case scenario is them returning your whole packet because you forgot to sign one of your forms or wrong fees on your checks.

For the VJ timeline, I personally used the notice date because it's called noa date (=notice of action date so "notice date" makes more sense here for me). I used received date for "date filed" because that's the day they received it and therefore it was officially filed. What else would we use for date filed? Date when we mailed it? That doesn't make sense to me since unless it is received by them it is not filed, right? 🤔

Hey yall,

A little concerned....I mailed AOS, EAD, and AP out March 1st. They received it March 4th. I have still yet to receive a text or any NOAs, and no checks have been cashed....Has anyone else experienced this sort of delay? We sent to the Chicago Lock-Box.

I've read on either this thread or February one that people who waited too long emailed the Lock-box and they got a generic email back but then the next day they received text messages from USCIS about their case. They both said it might have been coincidence but may be worth trying. Try to search for those posts for more information
