You don't have to wait until your period come.  I say this because of our experience.  My fiancé was expecting her period a week before she was going to do her medical.  It didn't come.  She still went to do her medical and completed her Day 1.  On the morning of Day 2 that's when her period came.  We were very, very lucky.  If you live close to Manila go there on Tuesday.  I say that because I've read on numerous occasions how Mondays are like a madhouse there at SLEC.

Thanks! Maybe a Wednesday would be good

Hi, you may print the eligibility sent to your fiance's email. It will do. 😊 God bless you.

Hey. Don't worry. Even if you got your period unexpectedly on the day of your exam, you'll still be accepted in SLEC. It was my worry too when I went there. But Good thing, my period cooperated with me. 😂

This is true. Monday is always packed with people. I made a mistake getting there after a holiday, but I don't regret that I'm successfully done now. 😊

No one wants the eligibility email/letter, no reason to print it out.

I encountered a lady while on the line that she wasn't given a number by the guard because of that. And it was recommended by the USEM, when I called them, to print it out before I go to my medical as SLEC will be looking for it. Printing it and bringing it to your medical exam won't mean no harm, I guess. But it's better to have them prepared in case someone will look for it than be sorry for not having it later. Have a great day. 😊

It's appears you are getting the letter/email you receive from NVC versus the "eligible" letter you get when it's ok for you to schedule your visa interview.

You NEED to print that letter/email from the NVC which has your MNL number (case number), petitioner name, principal applicant's name, etc.  You MUST print out that letter/email and show the guard at SLEC in order for you to start your medical.

There will be a separate email you receive which says "you are now eligible" to schedule your visa interview.  You DON'T need to print that email. That email is just a FYI type of information.

AOS Timeline (I-485, I-765, I-131)

12/28/2019:  Packages sent to USCIS via Fedex

12/30/2019:  USCIS received packages

1/08/2020:  NOA for all 3 applications

1/17/2020:  Received biometrics appt letter for the I-485 and I-765 (Code 3).

1/31/2020:  Biometrics completed

2/20/2020:  RFE

6/15/2020:  Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview

6/15/2020:  I-765 (New Card is Being Produced)

6/30/2020:  Received Combo Card in the Mail

4/22/2021:  AOS Interview

4/26/2021:  AOS Approval

4/29/2021:  Permanent Resident Card received in the mail

I printed both and submitted both. It didn't do me any harm. So, it's fine. I got over prepared, I guess. 😁

NVC letter/email is required, not the eligibility letter (< many never receive this) ..  you are right there is no harm in print a copy to bring.  But saying it is needed isn't true .. thus misleading to others.

R took the NVC email attachment and a copy if the interview confirmation. They are looking for something official with the MNL number...they asked her at the prescreening window at the embassy if we received a letter from the embassy and she said "No.". But looking back through our emails we did receive it)))) They didn't seem to care)))
