On the I134, Question 10 it asks if I have submitted a visa petition to USCIS on behalf of someone. BTW what a stupid question. What the hell do they think? I'm filling this out for my health? Anyways, should I also list her daughter here or just my fiancee? Thanks.

The form, like the G-325A and some of the other visa application forms (the DSs) are general and not necessarily created with the K1 in mind. So some of the questions just make less sense than others.

Check out the example copy of the I-134 here. That helped me figure out that I wasn't crazy! The form just doesn't ask for things that jive with our process.

I-129F/K1

1-12-07 mailed to CSC

1-22-07 DHS cashes the I-129F check

1-23-07 NOA1 Notice Date

1-26-07 NOA1 arrives in the post

4-25-07 Touched!

4-26-07 Touched again!

5-3-07 NOA2!!! Two approval emails received at 11:36am

5-10-07 Arrived at NVC/5-14-07 Left NVC - London-bound!

5-17-07??? London receives?

5-20-07 Packet 3 mailed

5-26-07 Packet 3 received

5-29-07 Packet 3 returned, few days later than planned due to bank holiday weekend

6-06-07 Medical in London (called to schedule on May 29)

6-11-07 "Medical in file" at Embassy

6-14-07 Resent packet 3 to Embassy after hearing nothing about first try

6-22-07 DOS says "applicant now eligible for interview," ie: they enter p3 into their system

6-25-07 DOS says interview date is August 21

6-28-07 Help from our congressional representative gives us new interview date: July 6

7-06-07 Interview at 9:00 am at the London Embassy - Approved.

7-16-07 Visa delivered after 'security checks' completed

I-129F approved in 111 days; Interview 174 days from filing

Form I-134 is also used by organizations, and individuals to show sponsorship of other types of non-immigrant visas other than the K-visas, visas like Student, Business, Visitor, ect, that is why question 11 also confuses many doing the K-visas.

The example one here on VJ was provided to show how this form is filled out for the K-visas.

This question may have an obvious answer but I'll ask anyway. The very last part of the I134 says "Oath or Affirmation of Sponsor", is this something that I have to fill out? Am I considered the sponsor? And if so, does the person notarizing it have to sign this part as well? If anyone knows please fill me in.

2/26/2007- NOA1

3/3/2007- Received NOA1 hard copy

5/7/2007- APPROVED!!!

5/17/2007- called uscis...APPROVED MAY 7th!

5/21/2007- NVC received packet

5/23/2007- NVC forwards package to US Embassy in London

6/19/2007- London received packet 3

6/25/2007- Received paper NOA2

6/27/2007- Received packet 4

7/16/2007- Medical at 2:10pm

9/4/2007- Interview London 9:30am...APPROVED!!!

11/11/2007- Wedding date

AOS

12/3/2007- Sent I-485

12/8/2007- Delivered and signed for

12/12/2007- NOA's for all 3 (hard copies received on 12/17)

12/26/2007- Transferred to California

1/3/2008- Biometrics notice in mail

1/31/2008- Biometrics exam 3pm- USCIS Touch

2/2/2008- AP approval and notice sent

2/7/2008- Work card ordered

2/9/2008- Received AP in mail

2/11/2008- Email confirming Work Approval Notice/ Received Work Card

3/26/2008- Finally, a touch :)

3/27/2008- Yet another touch...

7/14/2008- Permanent address registered and welcome packet sent

7/17/2008- I-485 Approval Notice sent

7/21/2008- Received resident card!!!

Actually, it's a very meaningful question.

As to your question - have you submitted a visa petition for your fiancee's daughter? (If you did you wasted your money on the fee.) Or anyone else other than your fiancee? Many people have petitioned one or more aliens.

We have not submitted a separate application for her but she is listed on my fiancee's application.
