How did your interview go in Fargo? Just curious, any tips?

Also for the writing test do they tell you to write all 3 sentences or they stop at one if you write the 1st one correctly?

Do they repeat the sentence for you as you begin writing?

Really appreciate your help man..

I think, it depends on officer. To be honest, officer gave me only 1 sentence and i wrote it not correct 🤣 something like President lives in the White House.... supposed to be THE President lives in the White House 🤣 officer said ITS FINE 🤣

@indiandude3368 It was cool and easy. Simple civics questions. I only remember the September 11 one. He made me read a sentence and write the answer. I'm in line for oath ceremony. He says there is an oath ceremony in March but full. So mine will be in June.

My wife passed everything also and her online status shows oath ceremony will be scheduled. The officer told her there could be one in March, April or in June. Have you gotten a date yet?

That's quite a short notice for USCIS (I'm surprised). But that's awesome! I'm happy for you.

This gives me hope as we have very similar timelines. My interview ended up being on March 2 which is just 3 business days after yours. And the short notice hopefully means the oath will happen sooner than anticipated.

Got notification that his interview has been scheduled for Oct 20 in Minneapolis. He's doing a name change so maybe will take the oath when he passes the test same day?

Anyway, exciting times in the Cruz household. He dusted off his study guide this morning haha

everyone

stopping by here to let you guys know how my husband‘s interview went. After a awesome 6 Hour Drive from Bismarck (Uffdah),

We parked in the marquette plaza parking Which is the underground parking underneath the actual building. For $18 well worth it especially on a snowy day like today.  They let me go through security. When my hubs was called she had me wait in the main room which reminds me of an airport gate mixed with a dmv lobby.
“We don’t need you” so I waited for about a half hour in the main area.

husband said that she was a very nice lady. Went through the six questions very easily which were (in no particular order)

“Who is the speaker of the house”

”what is the law of the land”

“What happened at the constitutional convention”

“longest river”

”states that border Mexico”

”who is speaker of the house”

sentence he read was something about voting as well as the sentence he had to write.

she didn’t look at any extra documents that we brought including the giant 4inch pile of every single banking statement and other assortment of statements that I have collected ever since we got married in 2016. The only thing she looked at was a photo album with family pictures just to look because she likes looking at those kind of pics.

The Majority of time he spent talking to her was going over the yes and no questions. She commented on how organized we were; that even though she didn’t look through any of the things I brought (all of which was also uploaded when we applied) She looked at his case and file before actually sitting with him and said it made her job much easier.

in the end he was approved. She wrote the next oath ceremony which will be in Fargo next Wednesday on 10/28 so I think he’ll be able to get into that one. Waiting for the oath ceremony doc to be uploaded.

the drive back was harrowing. Can’t believe how many people forgot to drive on the first snow. Total count of people who went in the ditch was 21! Needless to say hubs had me drive cuz if he would have driven like a grandpa; not a bad thing but he’s not as confident as I am with

The end is in sight!!

able to view oath ceremony letter. The "yay" is that is next Weds in fargo; so it's ONLY  a 3.5 hour drive this time. The "nay" is that they aren't allowing ANY guests. That stinks that the oath takers won't get to share their special day with anyone. They better have someone take pictures AT LEAST

Silver lining is that we are at the last step. Finally.

Wow so nice to hear of an N400 filler kind of In my neck of the woods. I live two hours north of Fargo. I applied to remove conditions in nov of 2018 and applies for N400 in January of 2020 and I’ve heard nothing. I’m going to have to get a new i551 soon as this rate. It is such a burden always going all the way to Minneapolis. 😞
