Anyone had experience sending money to a BPI Passbook (Savings) Account? Need to send her money to pay fees. My fiance sent me her account number but want to make sure this won't be an issue being a savings account.

I send to BDO (not BPI) all the time.  As long as it is a depository account then all should be good. Savings accounts accept deposits but typically only have limits on how many withdrawals you can make in a month

I send money to a BDO acct from time to time.  Easily to do.     Doesn't matter if it is savings or checking ...

I use REMITLY   http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/cfo-orientation-seminar.html   (scroll to the bottom of this page for info)

I send money to BPI using Remitly.  It is instant and goes straight into my wife's account.  They have great exchange rates and the fee is only $3.99 for the transfer.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Or don't be in a rush and allow 3 days for the deposit and the fee is $ -0-  ;)

If you send $200 or more via XOOM (bank to bank), then the fee is waived for an instant transfer.  I just checked and the difference between XOOM and Remitly's exchange rates are only marginally different
