Is my exported PDF medical record from my Patient Access account enough for the Knightsbridge 'summary care record' requirement? It is 10 pages long and outlines current problems, past significant problems (none for me), past minor problems which goes back to 2003, medications (acute) and then my test results from 2013 to 2019.

I went to my GP and asked for my summary care record only to be told I can access and print it myself from Patient Access. Is this good enough for Knightsbridge?

Thanks.

You don't need your complete medical records for Knightsbridge just the summary.

And printing off your patient summary care yourself is fine.

There's no option for me to export a summary on patient access. I can tick off what sections I want exported e.g allergies, problems, medications, test results...etc. So I can't get it not to include really old info. It's 10 pages though and Knightsbridge say they accept up to 10 pages.

Should I be worried if my patient summary is back and front of 1 piece of paper that they haven't given me the right information??

Sorry, don't quite understand what you mean?

Sorry. I just meant everyone is saying they have a lot of pages, I only have 1 piece of paper so worried they've printed the wrong information even though it says patient summary on it?

Mine only went on to the second page because I had made x2 visits before my medical appointment. 1 of which was because I had no idea what it was or how to get it and the secon was because when I got it, the information was 8 years out of date.

Mine had:

  • Details (Name/Height/etc)
  • Ongoing minor/major medical conditions (if any)
  • Historical minor/major medical conditions
  • Allergies

It still wasn't 100% correct and I told the Doctor at Knightsbridge, it was absolutely fine :)  a Summary is litterally just that. If you can get it from your GP, it'll be tiny (unless you have a hugely extensive medical history)

Honestly this was the most stressful part of it for me. I hated it and was a nervous wreck, then I got out after it thinking "Is that it?"

It's easy to say afterwards and I didn't do it, but relax and it's honestly a smooth process.

Everything you need is contained within the email when you book the appointment. I also wrote a review on it and what I took and it was seemless going through honestly. Granted I have a limited medical history (Asthma, no mental health, "No Trace" on my ARCO but a public fine to declare later in this process, discharge from the eye specialist for my pupils and literally an Ibuprofen allergy, that's it).

Feel free to drop a message or something if have any queries or want some photos etc. I kept all my documents that I took to my medical.

Mine is on Tuesday and I'm nervous too! Hopefully I will feel like that when I get out too!

I'm sure you will, honestly!

Any queries just give me a shout, you'll be here on Thursday evening telling the next person going to "Just calm down, it's not 1/2 as invasive, daunting or intimidating as you could ever imagine".

One key little tip, drink water like a fish beforehand....it'll save any waiting afterwards for the sample. I was doing the funny dance as I was at reception!
