Glad to hear that, as my original career was in food service. I worked for the Department of State for many years overseas. That is how my wife and I met.

Back to food: In fact, one of my degrees is from the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, NY.

Wow, I left that field long ago, but I still love to cook, as does my lovely wife. What a team we make!

We have seriously contemplated a restaurant in Bali, in the future, although we have recently wondered how an international restaurant would fare in a big US city.

Just brainstorming here.

Edit: Clarity/Spelling. Where is the spell checker?

Mac and cheese with cut up hot dogs in it

Tomato rice soup and a grilled cheese sandwich

rice pudding

Totally reverting to childhood foods.

If I REALLY need comforting:

acini pepe (tiny tiny balls of pasta), mix in an egg (that cooks when the pasta is still hot), butter and parmesan cheese

pasta with homemade sauce

escarole and beans

pizza

Margaritas work wonders too
