IR-1/CR-1 Mumbai nvc and police certificates

Hi,

We uploaded all documents on nvc ceac website and paid the fees. The only document not uploaded yet is police certificate. 

 

Will the interview not  be scheduled till we upload police certificate.  Is it required to complete the file at nvc and send it to embassy for interview scheduling.  The police certificate takes about a month and trying to see if it is ok to just take it at interview time and avoid delay for interview scheduling and completion on nvc side to send it to embassy. This is for India/Mumbai consulate.

I believe the NVC will need all required documents before they send it to the Embassy. They can decide if that something you have to submit now or it can wait to submit at the interview. They will communicate with you in an email.
