Good morning!

Just a quick question.

We received a letter from NVC saying:

THE STATE OF DEPARTMENTS NATIONAL VISA CENTER HAS RECENTLY received YOUR APPROVED I-129F PETITION FILED ON THE BEHALF OF YOUR FIANCEE.

THIS LETTER IS TO LET YOU KNOW THAT WITHIN A WEEK THE PETITION WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE APPROPRIATE VISA ISSUING POST WHERE YOUR VISA INTERVIEW WILL TAKE PLACE.

YOUR FIANCEE WILL SOON RECEIVE A PACKET WITH INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE CONSULAR SECTION.

Does this mean we are clear of security checks or not? i also know they do security checks there too.

(WE WENT THROUGH 6 MONTHS OF CHECKS BEFORE WE GOT NOA2)

Thank you

You have completed the checks in the USA so far. I am not sure if they will require more at the time of the interivew or not? Good luck and stay positive.

Hey girl ;)

I got the same letter-they are just letting you know that your case was sent to the embassy abroad. I think they can conduct security checks at any level-but I am pretty sure you are cool. I have been calling the embassy but no joy-they do not have it yet. I checked DHL's website yesterday and saw that a package was sent from NVC and rec'd in Dublin yesterday.

Have you tried calling the embassy yet? Have you tried DHL's website?

The letter just means that your petition is being sent to the London Embassy, it should be there within the week, it then takes them (London Embassy) a couple of weeks to send of package 3 to your other half, then depending on how quick you are with gathering information (start now) you then send that off, then 8-12 weeks longer and you get an interview....this 8-12 weeks is standard...some take less but be prepared to wait. If you have a date set for your wedding (which your not supposed too but hay if you have then dont worry about it) then say so on your package 3. Good luck and best wishes.

I should have put this in the message I just sent you

go to www.dhl.com

at the top drop down box-click on "track by reference"

I put in "expedite IV section", you can also try "expedite NIV section", look for anything posted to London within your timeframe(I looked from 3/14-3/23) see if anythig has been delivered.

at least I think this is right-I will check for ya ;)
