I have been waiting for over 2 years to get the wife's case approved,  I was hoping NVC would be the easiest step, now its turning into a nightmare.

I don't want to pull rank here, but as an actual Software Engineer (with an actual degree in Computer Science, from an actual 4 year degree university) who worked on projects with far, far more complexity with real-time data processing of gigabytes of data in a given time, I can't comprehend how NVC can have trouble fixing something as simple as an application which in essence is a glorified upload and review process. You can't have anything like this happening in a real company. If we have a single customer having difficulty with slightest issue (the issues that are not even real blockers), all hands would be on deck until the issue is resolved, now we're seeing issues as fundamental as making a payment and processing simple paperwork taking weeks to even work properly. Also, why would it even take a week for them to process the payment, are they doing it manually?! This is just beyond belief. I have had my share of legacy software to deal with (that management was unwilling to change) so I'm not trying to say it could be easy to deal with, what I'm simply saying is that with the amount of money they're charging for the process they should have no problem to get staff to make sure issues like this doesn't happen, and also maybe upgrade the platform so it doesn't pain people more than it should, waiting for over 2 years to see your wife or husband is hard enough. I'd personally be more than willing to pay more if it mean this issue would be resolved for everyone else in the future as well.

I apologize if I sounded elitist. That was not my intention, I'm just frustrated!

I understand and agree with you! I’m a medical student so I understand fast paced work and also resolving issues quickly. If Epic has an issue it’s resolved on the spot. None of this waiting. This is the government and they can’t fix it? hard to believe and very maddening

Can someone please reply answer this??

As you know that pakistan passport has two front pages. One has a photo and details and the other page next to it. Do I need to scan both or just the first one on the left with the photo?

Also, do I need to use the naming convention mentioned on the nvc website to name my pdf files to upload on the ceac?

I agree.  If you find out let me know and I will do the same. I guess we could contact our Senators.

That is what I want to do too, but it's so hard when the NVC operators can't/ won't really do much lol I have yet to find out if you can talk directly to a 'supervisor'. I don't think so.

True. I will try asking her/him to leave a message for the super, which is what I did last week when she took my "case number".

What would happen in the worst case scenario? We can be patient for the next month, two month, etc. What if it never works? My dad's case is ready for interview and my mother's is stuck in this abyss. Ticks me off.

I called the embassy, they say the case number is correct. I had a really hard time explaining this to them as well (Was hoping maybe they could provide me with a Invoice number). But whatever is the issue is with the Invoice ID, I can't exactly tell what happened as it would all be speculations, but I find it unimaginable that this can even happen in the first place. The whole point of this system is to make things easier for the applicants, NOT to create barriers for them.
