1. File under 2MB? 2. Using chrome or explorer? 3. Try later as it might be heavy traffic in their site. Hang in there!

Its under 2 MB. Their site is a joke. Did you guys upload anything extra beside the standard requirements? Any wedding photos, etc?

I tried tens of time to add my 13 addresses (!)  where I lived starting  from the age of 16,  as per request on page 2 personal information address, but after writing and writing when I try to save it goes on an error page, really I don't know how to make it work (I tried different PCs and browsers). Can anybody give me an advice?

Hi. I had this happen to me on 3 different parts of the application. The problem was I was not doing it fast enough. So the website timed out (you get no warning; you only find out once you try to save or save and continue). So I had to type it all in much faster.

What I recommend since you have so many is that after each address save the page (bottom button). So at least if it does time out you don’t have to start all over again.

Hope that helps.

Praying for all of you that are still going through this. I just completed all uploads today.

Tips:

1. Save after each entry if you have a lot to input per page or you type slow.

2. Have ALL your information at your fingertips before you start.

3. Double check file type and size when uploading documents. Compress when needed.

4. Go to the state department website. Look up the country embassy you will go thru and determine the extra civil documents you will need.

5. Download and review the interview checklist. So you know what originals you’ll need. Send them out express or priority mail to who will be interviewed asap AFTER you scan and upload to the website; they need original documents. Like the financial form, cert, etc

5. Print and save receipts for everything you submit.

6. Create a tabbed binder of all your documents that you will take to the interview—be organized.

7. Pray always!

@CJO032418 has given you good advise. Save the page after each entry. The system can be very finicky sometimes.

How the heck do you condense the PDF? I-864, returns are too large and I am old school about computers☹️.

I however submitted the IV docs.

There are websites where you can compress your PDFs! https://pdfcompressor.com/

Try to start from the year of your age. As in when you turned 16. Hopes that help.
