Hello!! My fiance mailed our paperwork on 12/31/18 and he checked like two weeks ago and the money order was cashed.

He hasn't receive a notification yet, he's getting anxiety and Im getting nervous too...

We talking about 35 laborals days without any response. So, our question is...

Since the USCIS cashed the money order ($535) but didnt send out a receipt, does that mean our application has been received?

Yes, the case is received but it can take some time to get it in the system. Double check the address on the paperwork you sent to make sure it's correct. If so, he should receive the I-797 (NOA1) soon

Did you attach a G1145 form with the package? If not, you might need to wait for the NOA1 hardcopy to arrive at your mail box. My advice is to check the mail box of your mailing address (the one you put on your I-129f ) and the address you put on your package when you sent it out.

We submitted a G1145 form but never received any e-notifications and after about 20 days, we found the NOA1 hardcopy in our mail box (and it is not even the mailing address we put on I-129f form but the address we gave them at the UPS store when we were sending it out)

If you couldn't find anything, you might consider calling USCIS office. They said you could contact them if you didn't get anything back within 30 days.

Good luck!

But if they cashed your money order, you should be fine! just need to call them and get a receipt number of your case!!

Thanks, we already call them. The give us a receipt number the case says

“DOCUMENT WAS RETURNED TO USCIS

On February 5, 2019, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until August 4, 2019. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by August 4, 2019, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e), with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. “

Oh yeah I think you probably put in a wrong address or something. Because the USCIS is supposed to send you a NOA1 hardcopy but the post office probably couldn't find you, so they sent the copy back to the USCIS office. You can do what they said in the mail and you should be fine.
