They truthfully complete the application.

There is no funds requirement.

The challenge your parents face in applying for their own tourist (B2) visa, is to overcome their assumed immigration intent, especially since they have a family member in the US.  Their ties to Pakistan will have to be extra-strong to overcome this, as they already have strong ties (you) in the US.  They should apply and see what happens, as it will be up to the officer to decide based on all their completely honest answers on the visa application.

Thank you , appreciate your response .

This is where I’m looking into more that apart from his whole family back there daughters and my brother , his business of 25 plus years which he is very strongly invested in still . What else could we state that might show better chances .

He also has a widow sister who he has been a guardian since 26 years now he’s the only caretaker of her and her 3 young daughters .

And he has two of his kids here my brother in NY and me in Houston so since he’s finally retired from his full time job he can finally enjoy life and spend some time with us in the US and then go to go my other sister in London .

So that’s the plan just get them to travel a bit now .

Do you wreck saying they don’t have to submit their bank statements for the past 5-6 months ?

You don’t apply, your parents apply. You are not petitioning them for anything. If they are British nationals or nationals of another visa waiver program country, they don’t even have to apply for a visa, just an ESTA (assuming a visit of 90 days or less and no factors like a criminal record that make an ESTA unlikely). Google VWP.

Thanks Susie there was a misunderstanding I just posted the entire query again .

You can’t be doing things like putting money into their account to show what you think they need. Looks suspicious. They have what they have, and that’s all there’s is to it. They tell the truth, they will respond to things they are asked, they will not be invited to “make statements”.

Yes, they can bring financial statements. But there is no requirement to have a certain amount of money in the bank in order for them to get a visa to the US. Many applicants believe if they have $5k or large sums of money in their account, it will ensure a visa for them. What it shows is that the applicant is capable of financing a trip to the US because a vacation in America can be expensive. But a certain amount of money in their bank account is not a requirement.

Oh no I’M not doing anything , I’m just helping them fill the application and finding answers as regarding financial statements and the form and other relevant docs

I don’t want to create anything fake everything by the rules , it’s a simple tourist visa so I don’t believe in messing with the law

Do expect the CO to look at anything they bring in.  It is not a requirement for them to do so.

The only way you will find out if they can come is if they fill out the DS-160 and go to the interview.

During the interview they will be asked questions and must overcome the assumption of having immigrant intent.  If they have other travel to places that may help their application.

Having enough money to fund a trip to the US is less of a concern.  The bigger issue is that the burden falls to your parents to demonstrate that they do not have immigrant intent, which is always a challenge when there are grown children in the US, particularly from Pakistan and other high fraud countries.

I don’t believe there are any questions on the DS160 about bank balances? Has it changed?

Not to my knowledge?

These will be the two biggest hurdles to overcome.  He has no compelling reason to return if he is retired, someone else can run his business of 25 years or he wouldn't be looking to travel extensively.  And two kids in the US is a strong reason to visit and then try and stay and adjust status, which is immigration fraud.  Expect a lot of scrutiny just based on the facts that will be asked for on the visa application form.  They don't have to consider additional evidence like the sister he is taking care of.  If they apply and are denied, you may have to go and visit them in the future.  It's unfortunate, but that is the reality with so much visa fraud going on by others.
