Hello, I am looking for some answers on my current case situation. I called the NVC to see which Embassy they would be sending my case to just to make sure it was already being sent off and the woman I spoke to told me that my case was sent back to the USCIS because that's what the USCIS requested. I got my NOA2 on Jan 8th and the letter of our approval in the mail on Jan 14th. The NVC representative told me to call USCIS if I wanted any further information because the NVC told me they didn't know the reasoning on why it would be sent back. They sent my case back on the 31st of Jan. When I called the USCIS and spoke to the lady there she told me the only thing that it said in my file is that the case was approved and nothing else. I am so confused on what to do or who to call next... Has anyone else had this issue? What steps should I take?

Call USCIS again and ask to speak to Tier 2, you might get better answers there. What does CEAC site shows for your case? Do you have NVC case number?

I spoke to 2 different people in USCIS and NVC and they all told me the same thing that they basically don't have any information on why or whats going on. CEAC site says " Still at NVC" but NVC is saying they sent it back on Jan 30th. I do have the Case number I received it a few weeks after my approval.

Was the person you spoke to at USCIS a tier 2 agent? You have to explicitly ask to speak to one.

I found the same problem in this thread. (remember i saw it).  It seems they return it when they put incorrect stamp on the file. It might add another month of waiting but doesn't impact your approval.

and, yes, you need to talk specifically to T2.

no I didn't speak to tier 2. I will try that next. It's the same customer service number?

Yes, it should be same number. After you get someone on the line firmly ask to speak to Tier 2 and then explain the situation and hopefully they will be able to provide more useful information to you.

Ok, So I finally spoke to a tier 2 representative from USCIS and they told me the same thing the other customer service rep said. Basically that my file says nothing about my case being requested back or any evidence that they ever even got it back. But still both people I spoke to from NVC said they sent my case back on Jan 30th. Nothing adds up :( What should I do next?
