What good stuff did Obama or the Bush's do?  Or more importantly,  why should they do anything at all?  As long as all humans have equal rights, things are pretty much in order.

While I am not deep into the politics behind the LGBT community, I have LGBT friends who all seem to enjoy the same freedoms and benefits that I do.  What am I missing?

Other than pandering to a voting base, I don't really see ANY straight president caring much about what goes on in the LGBT community,  do you?

amen brother. I am out of upvotes again. I think someone cut my allotment

I asked you to mention good stuff he's done for LGBT in the US and you seemed to have nothing so...

As I stated earlier, this action being discussed here is a good thing for folks of the LGBT community here in the US.  How many stories do we hear of a gay or lesbian couples within their visa journey dealing with a country that does not provide basic human rights to those of that community?

Well, things are no in order because all humans don't have equal rights.

So true.  Many folks within a protected class have many more rights than others.  Maybe we should simply treat everyone the same.

I realize you are the immigrant here in the US, so you get a bye.  Protected classes are not “so-called”.

Lead the way, ma’am.  I asked first, after all. ;)

Gay people can't adopt in all states without getting discriminated against. They can't get married in most churches. Businesses can decide not to serve LGBT people. Transexuals can't use the bathroom of their gender they identify with... Your turn.

every time you misspell a word, ewok reduces your upvote allotment by 1 and the mods sacrifice a kitten to the spelling gods.

Same-sex marriage in the United States expanded from one state in 2004 to all fifty states in 2015

  (from Wikipedia)

What business(es) have elected not to serve gays and got away with it?

Quote

On June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court struck down all bans on same-sex marriage in the United States. On March 31, 2016, a Federal District Court struck down Mississippi's ban on same-sex couples from adoption. On June 26, 2017, the Supreme Court reversed an Arkansas Supreme Court ruling and ordered all states to treat same-sex couples equally to opposite-sex couples in the issuance of birth certificates. These court rulings have made adoption by same-sex couples legal in all 50 states.

My transexual friends use bathrooms of either gender... beat THAT, if you will!

The ball is back in your court.
