could you say a lil prayer?

Hi. My husband is very ill. Last Thursday he finally got his military papers and was intending to go for his passport on Sunday. Well Thursday night he ate some fish for dinner, which he says was fresh and his sisters cooked it.

He has been throwing up since last Friday morning. He did have like a 10 hour reprieve on Tuesday where I actually got to see and talk to him but he didn't look 100% and it was only because of some medicine he took from the pharmacy. Apparently that stopped working and he is actually worse now than he was before. He has not eaten anything much since that fish. He has refused to go to the doctor but luckily his sisters are worse than me in the nagging dept and they are forcing him to go today, God willing.

I don't usually get worried when someone has a stomach bug but I just worry so much now about him, like what if it's something really serious. I feel very helpless and I guess all that is left is to pray that they find out what the heck is wrong with him.

Oh hun......it's such a horrible feeling when you are so far and cannot do anything. Good thing his sisters are on him to get to the doctor. I pray that everything is ok {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}

My prayers are certainly with you and your husband! When I came back from Jamaica the first time I had a nasty stomache bug and I know how frustrated Marlon was by not being here to care for me. Hopefully it is just a little bug!

Ya rab! Men can be SOOO stubborn! Inshallah.. the doctor will hook him up with the proper medinice.. And honestly.. I dont trust the fish out there. I had one bite of my SIL's.. shes a Great cook.. But it tasted like dirty sea water.. plus seeing all the trash and oil that is on the Beaches... YuCk!

I tend to think it's not the fish only because his sisters are fine. Now I'm crying because I just looked up his symptoms on webmd and it says he could have kidney failure. His father died of that this Ramadan. I wonder if that runs in the family. He does throw up a lot...I'd say once every other week he's sick throwing up for a day or so. I used to just think it was the food there but now I'm starting to wonder. He's sleepy all the time too. He'll sleep for an entire day at a time. He says it's because he works hard the few days prior, which he does but still....... UGH. If I were at my old job I'd totally go home right now and just lay in bed and have a good cry. I think I try to be so strong with everything, i.e. the visa process, taking care of the kids, etc. and something like this just kind of opens up the floodgates of emotions that I keep pent in you know?

I hope your husband gets well soon. I hope it's nothing major, try not to make yourself worry even worse, trying to diagnose him over the internet. Best thing would be if his sisters get him to go to the doctor.
