I don't know if anyone can say for certain how quickly things may (or may not) happen in her case...

Did this new lawyer offer any advice on her options?

No. He read the 8 Page letter and said what he said, and refused to take the case.

That letter must be quite damaging in its details.

Sometimes NTAs can arrive several months after.  There's no strict deadline they have to adhere to, as any investigation has to be completed first.

Not in Hawaii. Due to small population, everything gets done fast. Or at lest, faster than other states. Only two weeks after her n400 interview, she received that 8 page letter of denial. The lawyers said that it the timeline depends on the officer who interviewed her.

Guys, I need help advising my friend. I will meet her later after she gets off work. She plans on moving to another state. I don’t know running away would solve anything. I don’t know what to say, because I don’t know what would happen if she just moved to another state. Help?

I would think a speedy decision, as long as it was accurate, would be better for her than a slower or delayed decision. Add to that the cost of relocating to another state and finding a new job. If all she was interested in was living and working in the US for another year or two while an NTA is processed, then delay tactics would make sense. But if she's looking to stay here permanently then she should tackle this issue straight on.

Running away may work on a temporary basis...but she'll live out the rest of her life feeling like she has to constantly look over her shoulder or that ICE may catch up with her somehow.  There was a case on here a while back where the person moved States and later ended up in ICE detention as a result from a simple police traffic stop/ticket, where the whole thing started to unravel for them.
