Or can it be just a couple o days ahead of it? Just wondering.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Just a couple days before is fine.  Your wife will hand carry the medical file to the interview, no waiting for delivery anymore.

Yes, but it's best within 2 weeks before to no later than 2 days before if every thing went well to maximize the validity of the visa.

1 week interval is fine which I did. But I have known one person during our medical exam she also got Interview after that luckily she pass the medical exam. But it's up to you if you want that kind of route 😉

  • 3 weeks later...

We may have to move our appointment because my wife may be having her menses. Anyway, how far advance does Manila typically allow for scheduling? I am no longer seeing an April appointment. So I am just wondering.

Day or two before is plenty good.  Your wife will hand carry the medical file to the interview.   And she can complete the medical during menstrual  ... another change

We pushed through with the medical. She ended up having her menses this past Monday two days before her medical. She typically has 5-day cycle. It was not an issue with St. Luke's that she was in the middle of her menses. Though obviously not the heaviest days which are typically the first two days. Our interview is on Monday. No available slots for Friday this week. Gives us time to tour Manila and shop.

having the medical 1 month before the interview is fine too, right?

Just keep in mind the expiration date of the Visa is from the date of the medical not the interview.

Yes you can complete the medical a month early.  Do note that the validity of the visa is tied to the date of the medical, so it will only have at most 5 months instead of 6.

Also make sure to keep the medical file save for the interview.
