I know like one word of french..........so my husband will whisper long dissertations to me in french and I giggle and coo and squirm...............TURNS OUT.........it's all rude stuff that he cant get away with in english. I don't care though , I still like the way it sounds as long as the tone is right :D

.......like talking to the dog using his special good boy voice all while saying " are u a stupid dog ....well are ya .......yes u are "

Indeed Necrotica, RANT as much as you need to :crying: ... I for one support you and Rejean.- That's what -me thinkssss- VJ is for. supporting each other in this life changing process. Better to read your ranting and real stories than to actually spend hours in the "Off Topic" section rading rants of other kind he he

Let us know what the response was from MTL and please, promise you will take care of your health my friend. Don't take it for granted. This process has plummeted my petite self into the depression/anxiety of a lifetime.... .hmmm... is that a rant???? Would you believe the doctor who have me the medical wouldn't believe I developed said disorders last fall (curiously after filing our I-130).... AAAAAARGGGG

So, rant baby rant - we're here for yah!!!

want to, but I don't know how, and I don't know how to word what I want to say. I even struggled with this e-mail to the Consulate. I asked a couple of weeks or so ago in another thread how to contact my congressperson and got some answers, but it still left me confused. I've really been dumbed down by everything that's been happening to me health-wise. Have locked my keys in my car twice this month, poured water out of a cup into the garbage can because, for a moment, I thought that's where it went, and wrote "drunk" instead of "done" on some paperwork at my temp job (and no, I wasn't drunk, haha)... so... yeah. I'm scared.

I would send a copy of mine that we sent to our senator for an example for you , but my situation was totally different from yours. If your interested I could help you will it, as I'm sure lots of people here would help.

Just to let you know, I was placed on the waiting list in January and I just got notice of my interview, which will be July 5th. So if your fiance was placed two months later than me, you've probably got a while to wait yet. :(

If you need help writing an email to your congressman, I'd be happy to offer whatever help I can; I do a lot a proofreading for my friends who are still in university. Not sure if that would help, but I thought I'd put that out there. And rant away; Vjers are in the same boat, we know what the waves are like.

GODD*MNIT, THIS ISN'T F*CKING RIGHT. I finally log back in here to look around, and I find out that because of the new fee increase, it will now cost me $1,010 to get him his green card instead of the $505 it was going to cost (adjustment of status plus EAD, he wasn't going to file for AP). I have NO idea how I am going to be able to afford this. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE BY NOW. Long before now!!! With his "waiting list date" being March 2nd, there's no way he'll make it here by the end of July.

This isn't f*cking right AT ALL.

I'll reply to posts on here once I'm sober. I'm drunk as all hell right now. What a fine time for me to find out about this.

Yeah I was shocked by the fee increases but it now works out to about the same $$ as entering on a K1/K3 and then going back to Canada for the Cr1.

The only positive thing about montreal taking so long is that I am able to put aside more money for the AOS/Cr1 Process.

I would second Emancipation on that one. I did keep money aside for AOS and stuff while I was working in Canada and I would tell you to try to see it this way: More time for him in Canada is extra money to pay for this stuff. Thats the way I saw it. I stayed 4 more months than I thought in the beginning based on other people timelines. But because of that I was able to put more money aside.

Im really hoping things are gonna work for you, try to see the positive side of it sweety. (F)

You guys are so in my thoughts. It is, indeed, not fair - not the wait, not the fee increase, etc. The process is a test to everyone's sanity, and I feel for you. Has MTL responded to your email? Any chances Rejean will be scheduled soon? Here's sending you the best vibes.

I emailed Montreal on friday about whether my packet 3 has been mailed out on friday.

They finally got back to me today (tuesday)

concise reply but at least they got to it (mailed out 5 days ago)

Good luck with the expedite request. I'm pretty sure they prioritize scheduling by when the checklist is returned, not the packet 3 date (why would they schedule you when you're not ready before other people who have returned everything?), so you might be out of luck since the delay in returning the checklist was on Réjean's end.

The medical issue might help, though, if they have a cancellation or something.

The fee increase sucks. Due to all of our wedding shenanigans, we'll probably be able to file August 4th or 5th but not by the end of July (wedding on the 20th, time to submit forms to the county, time to get the forms mailed to Connecticut, time to get the paperwork sent off puts us at around two weeks after the wedding, earliest.)
