Hello,

I'm currently in the US on a K3 visa and have been looking around at healthcare plans - has anyone used http://www.usnetcare.com/ or heard anything about them? They seem to specialise in offering health care packages to non-US-Citizens and are considerably cheaper than most 'normal' US plans.

Thanks

At a quick glance they do not seem to offer as much as a normal plan.

Life time cover is 50% or worse and I couldn't see vision or dental cover.

I hadn't heard of them before, but they might be a good option for temporary coverage. I'll be looking for something like that for my first few months in the US.

Can you tell me where you see that 50%?

For short-term use, vision and dental coverage wouldn't be that important to most of us, although I'd want them with a long-term plan. And for someone age 36-50, $140/month sounds pretty good to me compared to $400+ I've seen elsewhere.

According to this press release, they're quite new, so there may not be much to find out about them yet. Perhaps some people could give advice on what to look for in a US health insurance provider?
