ROC after divorce - Divorce/Abuse waiver

When you file for ROC they will send you a letter giving you 18 months extension of your GC.

You can file for USC when you have been a GC holder for 5 years (minus the 90 days you can apply before)

Unless you have really really good evidence of abuse it will be much easier for you to just file with a divorce viewer. Filing with abuse waiver will not make anything quicker for you at all.

What is messed up with your kids' papers?

Thank you for information on ROC extension.

I guess you are not aware.  Abuse waiver means the abused can get citizenship in 3 years, this rule so that abused do not have to stay for the sake of sorting papers - for instance sometimes victims need to bring their children etc (from previous marriage) that they had to keep away or forcibly been kept away...  processing papers have children is easier for US citizens.
