Hi All, I am attaching my timeline for DOS. You can see how long it took. They send FR on 23 April.

I finally got my recommendation too! Just like your case, it too took exact 18 weeks! Did you receive the USCIS approval? How long did it take to come? Thanks!

That's a great news! Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you. :)

I received letter from DOS and USCIS receipt notice: May 4

USCIS received my case: April 29 (It was showing case received at another office. Vermont center transferred my case to California)

UCSIS approved case: May 21

Received final approval letter: May 23rd

(3 weeks from USCIS received date to Final waiver) approval)

All the best!

Thanks so much! :) Very happy that you got the final approval letter relatively quickly and this whole process is over!

Will the letter from DOS and USCIS receipt notice have the case number which I can then use to track the progress of USCIS approval?

Thanks so much! :) I took your advise and reached out to the local congressman - they promptly agreed to email the waiver division. This was last week - haven't heard back from the congressman's office yet to know if they ever responded to their email but perhaps it worked!!

USCIS receipt notice will have case number that you can use to track your case on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

DOS letter is just a proof that they have sent FR to USCIS.
