I am on the same boat. Mine was updated on Jan 22nd. Also, my D/S will expire in June. Still waiting to get the recommendation.

My NOC was shown as received on the DoS website on 19th Dec (although it was sent by the embassy on 19th November), and I got my favorable recommendation on 23rd January.

Hi everyone, 

I'm happy to share my timeline here for the update and benefit of others.

 

November 4, 2019: My document was sent to DOS via USPS (Delivery date 11/06/2019)

November 19, 2019: I physically applied for NOS @Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC  (Personal and DOS copies was sent within 1 week)

 

Now check the attachment

 

February, 8 2020:  I received Favorable Recommendation Notice in my mail

February, 10 2020:  I received USCIS Notice of Action I-797C in my mail

February, 13 2020: USCIS Approved my Case

February, 21 2020:  I received USCIS Notice of Action (Approval) I-797 in my mail

 

Good luck to everyone waiting. It will end in Joy, Amen.

I have applied for J1 waiver on the basis of NOC. After 4 months of wait I received the favorable recommendation on Feb 10th and received hardcopy of FR from DOS on Feb 14th. But I am still waiting for I-797C notice of action from USCIS. Its already 2 weeks which does not look normal depending from the posted timelines here. Do any of you facing/ faced the same issue? What should be next course of action from my side?

I just called USCIS to obtain my receipt number with the instructions from page 71. Unfortunately they said there was no case associated to my name after 12 days since DOS sent favorable recommendation.

Perhaps is not that unusual to wait two weeks for a receipt.
