AOS packet in PO Box but not picked up!

I remember a thread about a similar situation but couldn’t find it. My AOS packet has arrived at the PO Box in Chicago, but the USPS tracking says it will returned to me on the 19th if it isn’t picked up. Is this a usual thing? Do I need to reschedule the delivery like USPS is asking me to? I sent it on January 31st so it’s been there for a while!

We had the same. Long story short, USPS delivered my AOS application at a PO box, turned out it was at the wrong post office. They told me it happens often that they mis deliver to the USCIS PO box cause there are a lot of offices in that area (little weird but ok) I called USPS and they opened an investigation and that way they found out they mis delivered it and 3 days later it was delivered and picked up by USCIS.

So call USPS and check if they actually delivered it at the right PO box. If so, you could call USCIS but they're not always helpful on this subject. In the end you're going to be fine, you just have to be on top of it.

Well I'm on hold to USPS (and have been for 20 minutes) meanwhile I've been trying to do the online rescheduling for delivery but it says its not available for this address so my packet will be returned to my local post office.

This is so annoying as it's been nearly 2 weeks sinceI posted the AOS packet.  Anything else I can do?

Did you make a photocopy of your envelope so you could check that you put the correct address and zip code?

Yep, got a photo copy of everything and checked the address. I just got off the phone with USPS, I've opened a case with them and they will have someone at the Chicago post office branch where the PO Box is located find my package and call me.  Hopefully it's there. If not I'll mail it directly to the USCIS office through FEDEX or UPS.  Just annoying that I posted almost 2 weeks ago and my package hasn't even been received yet - makes the REALLY long processing time even longer.......

UPDATE: The post office in Chicago called me and said that the USCIS courier picked up my packet on 5th Feb - apparently they have a courier collect from the PO Box 3 times a day and they just didn't scan the form that updates the tracking sheet online. The lady I spoke to said that this isn't uncommon. Hopefully that means I should get a notification soon about them having added it into the system
