Finally had an answer today as I’m waiting to board my last flight to my fiancé an RFE. Issued today. Is there anyway to communicate with USCIS to get a head start on processing this. Slightly deflated but I’m almost home with my love ❤️

Call USCIS. Tell them you would like a copy faxed to you on the RFE because you are on a deadline that can’t be extended. Tell them you are leaving the country and will not be home to receive the fax. A tier 2 is the only one that has access to those systems. They can also read it to you (most will do this but some don't) and let you know what they are requesting.

And what is the best way to get through to tier 2. I’ve seen your documents written. But with my jet lag that will zap more brain power! Thanks in advance xxxx

I am working with our RFE since 2 of the documents that they asked for belong to me. (Certification of divorce and evidence of intention to marry within 90 days) I have this ready.
But they asked for evidence of knowing us and this is what I have:

* Flight reservations
* Boarding passes
* Baggage tickets
* Copy of the card of my peticionarion where you see the number of the card with which my suitcase was paid in your city.
* Photos with dates (screenshots of Instagram screenshots) of each of the 4 encounters.
* Passport entry and exit stamps (petitioner and beneficiary)
* Sworn statement of both explaining how were the 4 meetings and how we met.
* Affidavits from friends

Is there something else I need to add and help?
I would not tolerate an error this time!

It's most likely something you can fix real easy, don't tense up too much, but I feel you!

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

Hey guys! We recieved RFE on June 6 and on June 11 we recieved the copy of RFE via mail. The USCIS asked us about two year meeting requirement. Last time we met on our engagement in Thailand. And we prepared next documents:

  • Photocopies of passports with the stamps of entry/exit (mine, my mother, brother and aunt of my fiance). We cannot provide the photocopies of my boyfriend and his mother, becuase they used Travel Documents travel. They had to give them back upon recieving citizenships.
  • Four statements of the witness from our mothers, my brother and fiance's aunt.
  • Screenshots of the online conversations: from discussion our engagement till the present day (not all, of course). Also we provide conversation with organizer of the engagement in Thailand.
  • Photocopies of love letters from my fiance
  • Photos.

I have some questions. Is it okey, that we do not have the copies of the boarding passes and bagage tickets? Should we prove family relationship (birth certificates).  How do you think, is it okey that we did not save copies of stamps of entrty/exit of my fiance?

Thank you

When you receive an RFE (Request For Evidence) the best way to handle the RFE is to read it carefully. Do ONLY what it says. DON"T add tons and tons of unnecessary documents. It's not needed and will NOT help your case. The adjudicator has already made up their mind about your case and if you do what they ask then they are going to approve your case. Of course if something in your past is hanging up the approval, hence the RFE then what you return will answer the question(s) that the Adjudicator has.

Your fine with what you have.

You must be able to produce evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have met each other in person at some time during the two-year period prior to the filing date of your I-129f petition.

This is a rather old post but nevertheless, it has examples of how others had responded to the evidence of meeting. If you were to read over the thread I think you could pick out parts that you could use to create an answer to the RFE.
