Hi! We have an ongoing K1 visa case and are in the medical/visa interview phase. We have read the article from Abs-cbn news syaing that the US embassy Manila will permanently close their offices on July 25. How will this affect the interview process if we are scheduled to receive our medical on July 24.

Kindly provide insight!

The USCIS offices are closing in Manila.  The Embassy and the State Department Employees who will conduct your interview will still be there.

Based on the article, this would most affect the direct consulate filing process.

Here is the thread regarding this:

I got an RFE yesterday. I didn’t attach the court document from my 2005 arrest (the courts wouldn’t give it to me because my case has been cleared/deleted/purged, but I got the police department to provide something. I had hoped it was enough but it wasn’t).  With the RFE, I went back to the courts and they were able to type something on their letterhead and stamp it with their seal.  But they REFUSED (even after I literally cried to them) to produce a certified letter signed by a clerk.  I sent the RFE back with a letter stating that this is all St Louis County will provide me, but it is stamped with their seal. I’m praying that’s enough. The court said they don’t produce clerk signed letters for cases that have been cleared.  I don’t understand why, it seems as though other cities do this.

Well this is my case now. For a few days I have a bad feeling without knowing why. Our package was sent by a friend of my boyfriend, because he traveled to another state and did not have time to do it. I am visiting my fiancé in the USA. UU And we decided to look for the original documents that we sent to your friend, since you only needed copies and discovered that your friend did not send a description of what the first meeting was like, letters of intent to get married or evidence of meeting in the last 2 years . Now my head is spinning and I am afraid of the UN Receiving NOID in the best of cases ... We call USCIS Level 2 USCIS And we find that we still do not have RFE with they are still working on the case and the last update of our case. May 31, without any decision. What could happen?

How did you discover the RFE?

You have to read the article more closely.  It says it closing their field office [satellite center] that process I-130 Visa's. USEM is NOT closing.

There is nothing to see here. Please move on.

I already corrected it

There is a reason that a request was made for English usage only. There are many in this thread that do not speak most languages other than English.  Without the knowledge of knowing what is being asked and what the reply is leaves us at a disadvantage. VJ is here to help each other but we don't know what the two of you are discussing hence we are unable to help or help correct any misinformation. Please understand our request.  Thankyou.

I only write in English. It seems as though some have automatic-translator on to translate the original English text.
