An update on our timeline:

An email on our case was received this morning notifying of our NOA2.
NOA1: March 1

NOA2: May 30

Exactly 90 days apart! Keep the faith everyone! We were given an August estimate for NOA2 and expected anything earlier as a blessing.

Yes that background check scares me. I have 2 DWIs from 14 years ago but I documented them in the application, unfortunately the courts purged those cases long ago since I fulfilled the sentencing.  I’ve also moved around quite a bit in the past 3 years, but I also try to document it all out carefully.

Just not knowing what the hold up is agonizing.

I also have a background, granted all of my stuff is class c misdemeanors (lowest level offense) from 9-10 years ago for stuff like underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Anyways, I submitted my certified court copies and such but found of yesterday I had an RFE coming in the mail. I called today and eventually got transferred to a tier 2 officer who told me the rfe related to my background. Hopefully you avoid this problem because it sucks.

How did you get through to an officer?!

Looks like our thread has died down... who else is still waiting for approval .

I am also still waiting 😐 I feel like some days I'm fine and have just accepted the fact that maybe we just have to wait another little while and the other days I'm a bit of a worrying wreck....my fiance and I said we would try and hold tough and not schedule a trip until we got our approval but we are wondering now if we should just plan a short trip to break up the wait...I (the beneficiary) have a copy of everything he submitted and went through it all and really can't see where anything could be wrong...any court records/decrees all signed stamped certified.  I really hope and pray that all of us get the approvals we are waiting for soon. ❤️

Sometimes our minds are the enemy.  Do something that will make you happy. Schedule that trip together.  Get away from VJ and all the negative comments.  Be happy.

Mind is playing the enemy at the moment ! Just want some direction in my life 😳

Get a handle on your mind, if you don't you are in for a rough ride, believe  me I know. I also know it's  easier said than done, but you got to do it. It's coming you are just going to have to wait for it, but it's coming and you'll be fine!!!!! Control your mind the direction comes later.

I want to say thank you to all of my February k-1 friends who have been giving support and help to all of us through this leg of the journey. I feel humbled after feeling so down to have received my NOA2 today, dated May 29.

Neither the old website, nor the new website has updated for me, so if it hasn't for you that doesn't mean it's not in the mail.

I hope that this is the beginning of another week of acceptances, and lighter hearts!

Is there a June 2019 NOA2 >  NVC thread?

For those who have just filed the thread has been created for your needs and to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Good luck because this is a long process currently running 6-8 months from filing date for your NOA2 approval.

Hi! We have an ongoing K1 visa case and are in the medical/visa interview phase. We have read the article from Abs-cbn news syaing that the US embassy Manila will permanently close their offices on July 25. How will this affect the interview process if we are scheduled to receive our medical on July 24.

Kindly provide insight!
