Last week I called USCIS and was told that I had a request for evidence coming, but neither website indicated this. I called again a few minutes ago and was told that there was no indication of a request for evidence coming and that if there was I would see it. The guy told me it's possible that an RFE was drafted but then cancelled. I'm not sure what's going on there, or what to believe, but it is worrying. 😖

What date of approval does the letter have?

USPS informed delivery shows I have mail from USCIS coming today (dated 5/17)!  Now the waiting game for the mailman to come begins haha.  Here's to hoping it's good news and not an RFE. 🙏

The new and old websites still show no update so I don't think they're actually up to date.  (I also filled out that form for electronic notification but haven't got anything.)

Hey! How do you get notified? I signed up for one but I am just wondering how do you get one?

Congratulations. Join us in the May 2019 K-1 NOA2 to NVC thread located here

Be sure to download PDF file with tips, tricks and hacks. It's the first post in the thread.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Things like that happen all the time. You are on a normal path to a visa. Sit back and relax. You'll have your approve soon.

I hope so. I rely so heavily on this site and really take to heart the words of experienced members here but I've never heard of an RFE being issued and then cancelled so it sounded strange when the uscis staff told me that could be a possibility.

This is a very easy process. What makes it difficult for most is their high expectations,  their level of understanding both historical and current trends and their need to be assured that they'll be OK. Most applicants that reach their NOA2 should release a sigh of relief.  That's because after this, you'll move onto an approval at your interview unless of course you have an extortionate amount of baggage. Embassy interviews, next to your stop over at NVC, are the easiest to get through with getting a visa. Take a deep breath you'll get through this.

I appreciate all the helpful advice. Now I’m becoming one of the antsy people awaiting the NOA2, despite the advice to get a hobby, etc. - you know it’s easier said than done! 😩

Anyway my q: Is it worth calling customer service to see about my case? Are they able to tell anything useful? Or do I just need to wait around for the NOA2 letter? FYI My NOA1 is Feb 11, no RFE.

You can call them, if it makes you feel any better to get the response that you already know. This entire process are merely continual exercises in patience, you will have plenty of opportunity to acquire patience during your immigration journey.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
