The irony is that based on their time line, it looks like they got their I-129 approval on that very same day.

It's not irony, I told them I expect better service from my Government officials and I got it. I don't sit and wait, I was proactive and called emailed and mailed all of my Government representatives. I talked to someone at the Whitehouse and got approved later that day.

I wouldn’t get too antsy just yet. This is a lengthy process and from the progress that I have been seeing on this website USCIS has been cutting wait times exponentially. You are still well within processing time. I would not expect that  your efforts to reach out did anything at all. Do you have an unusual circumstance that requires expedition?  Just curious.

Of course my circumstances is unusual, my true love is not with me...what could be more remarkable or interesting then true love? My efforts where successful, after a month the White House called me back and I was approved a few hours later.

Wow calm down my friend look  at my time line you are in good shape breathe and relax. Processing  times are well below what they were this time last year.

If you except poor service from the government, that's what you will get. I don think 5-7 months is a reasonable time for them to open their mail. I told them just that, and as a voter I told them I expect better.

Wow. That’s great! I am more than happy to wait like the rest of the applicants as I have many loose ends to tie up here in Canada (sell my property etc). Happy your efforts were not for nothing. Now you and your love can be together ASAP!

It isn't quite that simple.  First, there are always thousands and thousands people in line.......and there is a process.....  The immigration process demands a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, PATIENCE, and money......

I can make more money, buy new stuff, I can do anything but I can never have more time! The Government is taking MY TIME with My FAMILY that I'll never get back. It's more precious to me then all the treasure on the earth. I would don anything to make it happen faster, so calling and writing my public SERVANTS is a small thing.

What poor service? They promised  you one thing, a yes or no for your I129 application and they never promised you a date that they would be complete with thier adjudication.  Relax. You need a hobby. JMHO.

The only number I care about is my fiancé and son. Choose to wait if you like but the only thing in your life you can not replace or have more of is time. I can make more money, buy new stuff but time with my family is priceless. While I wait I choose to rage against then machine and demand better from my government or I will not vote for them. Life is as simple or as hard as you make it, friend.

No one enjoys the waiting....You rage in vain.........and it is not healthy to rage against something in which you have no control........

Visa Journey says that everyone is free to offer opinions here and everyone is also free to ignore opinions here......😉

You sent your inquiries after less than two months of waiting. You knew there were people waiting in line. One thing is to be enraged at the government, but another is trying to jump the line, generating noise for the already clogged government response system, only to trigger their semi-robotic replies. Even if your approval was sped up by several days, it only happened at someone else's expense. Congratulations!

Fir3Fly13, it's against the site's Terms of Service to tell others not to post.

In addition, you've more than made your point about your impatience, so please scale it back.  Further such posts can be construed as spamming the thread (another TOS violation).

Wow!!! That is so fast!!! Congratulations!!! Could you tell me what attachments you sent with the petition were? It would be very helpful. Thank you!

We actually went through a lawyer so she did all the paperwork part, but my fiance and I gathered the following to add to the packet our lawyer was filling out:

- all our trip iteneraries back and forth (I included flight numbers, confirmations, boarding pass photos for the ones I could find).. All trips typed out in a document organized by date, purpose for trip, other places visited on trip, etc.

- messages exchanged (I went pretty lengthy here and this included screenshots of text messages, facetime call logs, facebook messages, emails, facebook posts, as well as some screenshots of each of us communicating in group chats with each others friends and families, and messages individually to each other's friends and family [especially around the time of engagement.... messages like his sister texting me how excited she was to be asked to be a bridesmaid, my fiance communicating with my best friend about his proposal plans, etc]

- proof of gifts exchanged (this was reciepts for christmas presents, photos with those christmas presents, as well as the reciept for the engagement ring)

- social media updates of relationship (dating and engagement)... I also screenshotted some comments on these posts showing the support and excitement of our friends and family, as well as pictures of our engagement announcment in the local paper and on the paper's website.

-LOTS of photos of us.... I organized these by trip. Dated them, and put little explanations under each photo of what we were doing or who was with us (my fam, his fam, who's friends, etc)

-Letters from people who have witnessed our relationship. My parents, his parents, my best friend, and the woman who introduced us all wrote letters explaining how they've seen us together and how they feel about us as a couple.

Gosh honestly I probably included more that I'm forgetting... I wanted to include a lot especially considering we got engaged quite quickly and I know that can easily be a red flag. I think the letters probably will if they haven't already help with that... Those closest to us have been so supportive of our relationship and are so excited for us. My family adores him, and my fiance's family loves me (I asked all 5 of his sisters to be bridesmaids LOL and included all of that in photos and message screenshots as well)
