Does the invitation for interview come with the NOA2? Also, I’d the petitioner expected to attend interview, or only the beneficiary?

Thanks again everyone for your input?

Q1. No. You'll be contacted by the embassy with what is referred to as the P3 (packet 3) letter which gives you the instruction on what to prepare and bring to the interview.

Q2. You are not required to attend the interview but some embassy will allow it and others will not. If you would like to attend then consult the UK website or shoot off an email to them with your question.

Q3. :o

Thank you thank you so much!! Have a great day!! 😀

Hi. I will have a great day if and when you complete your profile.  :D I like to extend information that is embassy specific and when I don't know the country well I just ignore the post. But finishing it is your choice and not a requirement.

Look up a few post and I had made that request and you may have missed it being a newbie and all. Thanks.

Thank you for your most knowledgeable insight! Also, your ability to notice my misplaced question mark. Haha

I’m in Canada, don’t think I’ll be referring to the UK website, but realized that it’s not a necessity for my American Fiancé to attend interview with me.

Thanks again, so much!!

Hi! Does the CRBA interview affect the k1? Just a little background, we met in november 2016 and became official the same month. Got engaged in december. During the CRBA interview my fiance was asked when did we became official. She said december which was supposed to be november. She got confused so she thought the question was the month when we got engaged. Does it have a bearing on our k1 interview later on?

CRBA interview is different from the K-1 interview and will not have a baring on the approval as long as you have all your ducks in a row for the K-1 interview.

Hello fellow February 2019 filers 😀

I am a UK beneficary filed: 19/02/19

NOA1 received in the mail: 05/03/19

with a notice date of: 26/02/19.

My timeline is currently predicting the next step to be between June 26th and July 3rd. I have noticed it is decreasing as the weeks go by as it was originally late July-early August so that is encouraging. I sure hope everyone is keeping their timelines updated to help with the accuracy of this data! 👍🏽

So far I feel pretty calm while waiting, how is everyone else keeping busy and preparing for the next steps? 😁

I am due to go back to the US to see my fiancé next month for a 4 week trip for his birthday and to spend some time with my family members who live near him in WA. I’m a little biased but the Pacific Northwest is beautiful.

If there is anything I can be doing in preparation for the next steps, I would love to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this. I will of course do my own research too but I think writing on this post will help others who may ask the same question sometime soon too! Just trying to be proactive too. 👍🏽

This is officially my first ever forum post on here and also on any forum altogether!! Lol. So I hope I’m following forum etiquette. Please give me a gentle nudge admin if I’m not using this correctly. 🙊

Good luck wishes being sent to you guys! The very best is yet to come ♥️

Though the Northwest has its beauty the biggest downside is the rain and cloudy days for most of the year. North Carolina has the mountains just like the NW but also have the same beauty in the amount of vegetation that stretches across our state. Then the beaches, OH the beaches are so nice but different the NW beaches which there are few. Enjoy your trip.

Hello Greenbaum,

Thank you so much for your timely reply and for providing all of that helpful information and those links. I have saved them and look forward to doing a lot of reading and research over the coming months. 🙂

I am very lucky that the part of WA I will be moving to is eastern Washington rather than the Seattle area, so the weather is incredible. I guess where im headed isn’t technically PNW - Spokane, WA. But close enough to visit all the beautiful sights and only a couple hours drive from Canada. There is very little rain and they have blue sunny skies for majority of the year. I have visited in every season because I have been back and forth over the past 7 years and they really do get the full spectrum of seasons over there. I’ve travelled to various areas of the US and it’s by far my favourite part that I’ve seen (so far) 😃😀😄

I’d love to hear where other February filers are hopefully headed to make their new home. Also if anyone is lucky enough to be able to visit their fiancé while in this waiting process, what their experience is at the point of entry into the US? I will write about mine once I arrive there next month but I’m hopeful all will go smoothly. 👍🏽

Anyway... this is quickly becoming a blog post length comment rather than the concise reply admin probably wish for. Whoopsie. I guess if nothing else reading my rambly essays may keep some anxious people entertained while they eagerly wait!  😃🙊

Hope everyone has an awesome day!!

Kinda random, but I just received this text:

”USCIS Message: We are still reviewing your case. We will notify you when your status changes. Update your notifications - https://my.uscis....”

does this mean that progress is being made? Wasn’t expecting to her anything for a few months.

Any idea if this text is indicative of anything?

Thanks everyone

I haven't gotten a text from them since the one saying they received the petition. I wonder if that's a bad sign

No it's not a bad sign. It's a sign that they are still adjudicating your case. You'll receive a NOA2 once you are approved and that is sent to the petitioner via snail mail.

Poor USCIS. They are damn if they do and damn if they don't send anything. It's just a notification which is SOP for your visa application. It's just telling you that they have your case and they are still reviewing which to me is telling me that nothing new and there is more waiting to be done by you.
