HIIII EVERYONE!!!!

GUESS WHAT!!! I HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO HAPPY. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT...MY I-130 WAS APPROVED ON OCTOBER 30TH.

The strange thing is that I did get a couple of touches a couple days earlier (see my signature), but I never got an approval email, and the USCIS website still shows pending....and today I got the NOA2 hard copy in the mail....

I am so excited. I will be calling tomorrow to check the status of my I-129F....

Thanks everyone for your support and motivation...and best of luck to all of you.

DITTOOOOOO.... OMG... I am still in utter shock... WE GOT APPROVED for both: I-130 & K3. I came home from work in the evening and for a moment I couldn't believe that I actually had TWO mails from USCIS waiting for me...

Wow... Thanks a lot to the Almighty AND to all the VJers for their wishes, prayers, luck... I am sure it helped a great deal along the way... THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU... Its been a long almost 6 months...Nov 13th will mark 180 days since my I-130 receipt date...

My details are pretty much same as YGandMAT's... I saw three touches last week(please see my sig below) but no updates whatsoever on CRIS after that. As a matter of fact, I just checked it again like 10 mins ago and it STILL shows pending I-130/K3. OMG.. I still cant believe that I actually have TWO NOA2s in my hand right now..

Details:

Approved I130/K3: 10/30/07 (This is the Notice Date in NOA2)

Mailed out from CSC: 11/02/07(Friday - saw on USPS mailing envelope stamp)

Received at home: 11/05/07 (Monday) Much to my surprise because USCIS CRIS status still says pending.

Once again, I 'd like to say THANKS to ALL for their wishes and prayers. For the people who are still waiting, please hang in there. You will get your NOA2 soon... My best wishes and prayers are with u..Good Luck

Regards.

We're very, very happy for you pkewl! I hope the rest of the journey speeds up even faster. Before we know it , we'll be with our spouses

Wow... looks like yesterday ended with a bang

Congratulations: Kev Fabi, YG and MAT, Catou1181, Pkewl & Tussie :D

I'm really happy for you all

USCISs processing seems to be all over the place now though, bypassing quite a few people... so here's hoping they'll get the approval-envelope mysteriously in their mailboxes ;) (after all, from these comments it seems that USCIS aren't updating their site).

Congratulation to all the approval, and hopefully the rest of us follow

What I noticed from the recent approved cases is that they have sent their I-129F in May, if I am not mistaken, USCIS is going by the I-129F dates, regardless of your I-130 sent time.

G & A you have the same timeline like main, if my above guess is right then you I are getting approved in a month from now, around the first week of Dec.

I hope I am wrong and we get approved sooner,

One thing that may help get our file out of the dark to the front of the line if we make a call to the USCIS through the RFE trick, which I am asking the folks who did it to tell us how is it done?

Thanks

The RFE trick is basically phoning up the USCIS customer service number and selecting the option that mentions requests for further evidence (can't be more specific as I'm the beneficiary so can't phone them myself). That option puts you in contact with someone at the service centre processing your petition, instead of someone in the call centre.

There are always mixed messages about this because there's no solid evidence that it helps. The only things that it can do is generate a touch on your file or the person you speak to can confirm that you don't have an RFE for your petition. It is possible that the person you talk to can say something else about your file but it is always an "off the record" peice of info and don't be surprised if what they say doesn't come true in the times they state.

All in all, these touches are false touches and give false hopes :( For my petition I prefered to wait out the time and then I knew the touches we started seeing were genuine adjucating touches, not touches generated by something we had done.

Also bare in mind that using the RFE trick is stopping someone from working on a file while they help you.

If you try the trick, I wish you the best of luck and let us know what they told you :)

Kinda disappointing that the website isn't being updated. I would have hated to have to wait for the snail mail. Especially because I was out of the country when approvals came in.

Wow, you sent the I824 and paid the fee to get your I130 moving? There are not a lot of people here who have done that, so you may find it difficult to get an answer to your question. It may take months to get that form processed just like any other USCIS form. Keep us updated on your progress.

I didn't sent it yet... cause i'm not very sure if this is right to do. i don't want to go to US with a non-immigrant visa while my i-130 was approved. i don't understand! why uscis hold my i-130 and sent to NVC only the i-129f? it will take several month to "approve" my i-824!?

Yes, it will take months to get it moving. They are still having receipting issues for petitions, and I don't think it will be very fast.

USCIS holds the I130 for AOS as their current policy because when both were forwarded to NVC in the past, the interview for the K3 happened quicker and the I130 never completed NVC processing, and had to be recalled for the AOS for most cases. They are trying to reduce the unneeded movement of this petition and the cost associated with it. Your I129F will make it to the embassy much quicker than you can get the I130 going again... and even if both went to NVC at the same time, your I129F would beat the I130 to the embassy by months. The CR1 is the better visa, but will take more time to get (especially now that you will need the I824). Unless there is a huge difference in the interview scheduling time for CR-1 vs. K3 at your embassy, you would probably be better off (in terms of time to reunite with your spouse) if you go K3.

Congratulations Everyone!!! Yay!!!:dance:   I hope that My Honey and I get approved soon... maybe I should call them today? I did get touched 11/2, and 11/4... maybe I'm already approved, just the online status didn't change?? Now the May filers are getting approved, and neither My Honey or I have any approval... I don't care, just get me the K3 approval.. I'll pay your $1000 fee to adjust ... ;)

Keep your hopes up Gogo... approvals for you, my honey, axp1010, melissahassan and anyone else who is overdue will be coming soon.

There are a lot of people in this thread that are hoping to see your petitions catch up with ours in the USCIS mailroom ;)

DivineMercy, I'm also hoping that the VSC livens up again to approve your I129F. At least you know that your I130 is on the way
