At least you got a touch :( for me... no news from July. is that so bad?! Should I be worried?

Receiving no touches is not a bad sign, some petitions don't get touched until close to their approval dates, some don't even get touched at all. There is no need to worry. They're still working on early May petitions, so you are probably still 3 or so weeks away from approval, going by the current approval rate. Keep your hopes up :)

A good word is always helpful. Thank you! :) I will keep my hopes up till the end. Hopes dies last... isn't it?

Keep in "touch" ;)

Just wondering....did anyone else take advantage of the new rule of sending in the I-130 and I-129F at the same time? Looking at G&A's timetable I don't see anyone else....any thoughts on whether or not the I-129f will come out faster than the I-130? Or will they delay it and wait until the I-130 is processed?

I was trying to remember back to when I first came on this board and I don't remember seeing filing both petitions together being mentioned very often. It seemed to be mentioned more around the time the fees changed, so that people weren't confused with which amount to send with their petitions. So the July/August filers might be a better group to ask :)

Of course, I could be wrong, taking in so much visa information tends to blur the edges a bit :wacko:

No problem, thanks for the input...I guess I was one of the first people to take advantage of the new rule, and I'm just trying to gauge when I might get a response from USCIS....talked to them today, looks like my I-129f will come out faster than the I-130, but I get the impression that the guy didn't know too much. Oh well, the wait continues....

I don't know if I should be getting my hopes high...but I got another touch today on my I-130...two days in a row now.

7.14.07 - Received NOA1 (WOW after 6 weeks, I was worried...called INS and told me CSC had a computer "glitch" causing delays on printing Receipt notices and approvals)

10.30.07 - APPROVED No email, the NOA2 came in the mail...hard copy.

Thanks! a little bit more patience JohnWendy and you are almost there too. I keep telling myself that everytime i see people who got approved on K1 who submitted their application later than ours. G was off by 20 days. i guess CSC is trying to make up to us now :)
