hey guys! i have a new question for you... What is the minimum income required for affidavit of support? I mean i will need information for I-864 form. Does anyone know about that minimum amount required?! Or is that calculation really important!?

Meeting the 125% of poverty is important. If it is just you and the spouse, the sponsor's income needs to be at least $17,112.

Correct. And I was told to use the AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) from your 1040 tax form.

yes, that should be enough... like what edp333 said, two people just need $17,112.. if you have another extra person (making a total of 3 people, including you), you will need $21,462... then it won't be enough...

Currently her child (6 years old) is living in Romania with her parents. What should we do?! The child should be included in household-size or not !? He'll be back in USA next year... in a few months.

If you included the child on your I-129 they will definitely expect you to be able to provide for three people

Checked the USCIS site this morning and it's finally happened: APPROVED 25th October :D:dance: No email confirmation yet, just the website updated... looking forward to having it on paper when Josh gets them in the mail :)

Now only 6 more weeks and I'll finally be out of USCISs clutches :whistle:

G&A - I add my thanks for your work on the chart!! I've updated my info a little. I sent the I-130 on 4/24, but it looks like they did not open the envelope until 5/21??? Can you believe that...... Also, I never did receive the NOA1 for the I-130, so your chart is correct in that regard. My case was transferred to CSC on 6/14. Thanks again, and congrats to all the "approved", the rest of us should be coming soon!

Yes, G&A it was approvals for both :D My timeline was already updated but have just finished updating my signature with the full info... 183 days for the I130 & I149 days for the I129F.

I can't help thinking that USCIS approving the I129Fs at the same time as the I130s are going to make the I129Fs timeframe look better than it really is. Especially with so many people that waited over a month to send in their I129F because of all those receipting problems. If it wasn't for those delays, my I129F would also be close to 6 months, not the 5 months that it shows my approval as. Does that make sense?
